When I picked my duck dog out he was always the one by himself and has the drive of a horse. Very easy to train myself

I’ve had good luck by picking the pups that 1 come to me. 2 are licking there lips when i pet them. And 3 have their tails straight out or elevated when being petted... the higher the tail usually the higher strung the dog is

2 ways to train a dog. Be strict or find a dog that loves you. A dog will do anything for someone they love.

Please say a prayer for my American bulldog Harvey. He died peacefully, two days ago, after a short battle with cancer. He was the best dog Ive ever known, mans best friend for sure, just a beautiful soul. God bless him in Jesus name. RIP buddy.

My daddy trained bird dogs, pointers & setters. He appeared on "The American Sportsman", on ABC, many years past. Bing Crosby was the guest star for that particular show. He always said you couldn't have good, smart puppies unless you had a smart bitch.

How do these dogs not get killed in lakes by gators and such while hunting? Is it common?

I'm didnt want to pay thousands for a dog because of a pedigree. I got my dog for $600, yellow lab. Had all her shots, both parents are hunting dogs, she follows me good, great at fetching the birds, gunshots dont bother her, shes not old enough for her first hunt yet but I think shes a natural. Also I saw a video where the guy was saying there is a difference between a hunting dog and a family dog that goes hunting, she is a family dog first but hoping I can put her to work.
