They could have skipped this pick and still had a top 10 under 25 team in the NHL. They fumbled this pick but their prospects are still phenomenal. Pavel Mintyukov, Olen Zellweger, Tristan Luneau all just won Defenseman of the year in their respective leagues. Zegras is one of the biggest marketed players in the NHL and put up very good numbers. Terry is still in his prime, Gaucher and Colangelo are both very good middle of the lineup level players, Drysdale is back. The Ducks are fine with or without Carlsson. This will be the last season the Ducks aren't at least pushing a wildcard spot. Stop with the rigged crap. It's drawn live on KZbin. You can watch it as it happens. In front of all the GMs involved. There's literally 0% chance they'd be that stupid to risk the entirety of the league to help one team. Not to mention the last Bedard just got beat by the last generational talent Consolation prize, and won a cup. It's not basketball. You don't win with 1 player.

Secondly, the load management has nothing to do with his actual talent, it’s simply Verbeek’s plan for the first couple months for him based on his own personal experience in the league as a teenager. Leo’s been more impactful than Fantilli in the games he’s played and that’s irrefutable

Adam Fantilli: 29 games played and 16 points. Leo Carlsson: 18 games played and 13 points. i can't go more into detail as i haven't seen Fantilli play at all but i have seen Carlsson play and he's doing extremely well

Leo Carlsson is the type that makes the players around him better great hockey iq, he has elite vision,passing and stickhandling much like Elias Pettersson, his shot will get better with training.
