Lanning gave a lot of credit to Deion and said he was thankful for the attention the game brought because of the work he’s done. The dumb thing about all the media drama is both coaches seem to really respect each other, and the tactics they use are typical motivation tactics that all teams use, we just don’t see it often from the outside. The only difference is it was VERY out in the open this time. CU recorded a lot of their trash talk and packaged it up nicely on Deion Jr’s channel for hundreds of thousands to see, including Oregon. You combine that with the pre-game talk and Oregon would have been straight-up negligent to respond in any other way. CU handed them the ammo on a silver plate!
