I think that's why this animated version of Donald Duck is my favourite because he shares elements of Donald from the original cartoons, Donald from the comics and some hint of the Donald from the European comics where the character can have serious moments, I mean as serious as you can get with a character like Donald Duck.

I have to agree, this was a great episode. It also feels like one that could've been made for the old show. (Maybe a follow up to 'The Golden Fleece' since it also has harpies in it.) Storkules is such a fun character. He's like a cross between Launchpad, and Thor, and I'd love to see Launchpad team up with him on an adventure sometime.

Wait. I just had an idea! In season 1 episode 1 it ends with "mom?" and in the finale they reference it with "Boys?". Season 2 ends with "Wait what!?" what if season 2 ends with a transmission from Della on the moon or Della arrives on the earth and Donald, Scrooge, and the Boys see her or hear the transmission and they reference "Wait what!?" from the first episode. I WANT TO SEE THAT SO MUCH!!!

As much as I love how the reboot does its own, unique takes on old favorites from old DuckTales, old comics, and old Disney in general, as well as bring other obscure or less-noteworthy characters back in the spotlight, I do love it when they invent their own new characters for this show. Storkules is definitely my favorite of these new characters, followed by Mark Beaks. I hope they get utilized in other Disney Duck-related media!

Each time the Triplets try to run a business, it does not go well and they learn a lesson from it. Happened twice in the original series, first that they ended up working for one of Scrooge’s enemies as adults, then they emptied Scrooge’s Money Bin without Scrooge himself knowing.

Besides bringing back Storkules, I also really liked how they depicted the harpies in this episode. It's like a perfect mix of the carpies from "Gummi Bears" and the harpies from that one episode of the original "Ducktales" (which was also the only one to feature Ludwig von Drake). At least I'm saying this from a design perspective.

I feel like Storkules is a parallel of Launchpad of sort such as Donald with Dewey, Gladstone with Louie and Feathry and Huey and Webby with Della, showcased during the shrimp riding scene at the season 2 finale . Their build is similar, their innocent dimwitted behavior and the way Storkules treats Donald with high regard like how Launchpad considers Dewey as his Best Friend. This may also explain how Webby is kinda especially close with Dewey IMO.

Donald being miserable is funny, but as this is probably the most realistic and sympathetic version we've seen of the character, sometimes you can just feel a little bad and prefer to see him succeed at something. When Donald suffered before he was portrayed in a bit of an unlikeable light.

While it's been a while since I've seen old DuckTales, it seems like other characters are getting closer to their 1987 series selves too. Gearloose is making time machines and is less of a jerk, Gladstone is also less of a jerk, Glomgold is more interested in wagers, Webby is doing less gallows humor, Goldie is a showgirl and Louie is at times less selfish. I'll admit it feels like they're playing things safer with a lot of the above elements, but the show is still enjoyable.

I agree. I don't understand why people still find a girl punching a guy "amazing" and "hilarious". I mean come one, nobody will ever find a guy punching a girl funny or amazing unless if that girl is evil, then maybe. But I guess another reason why a girl NEVER gets punched by guy is because it seems like they ARE always right. Either way, it's STILL sexist. Why couldn't they just have pay attention to Webby, then maybe there wouldnt be ANY sexism toward guys and girls.
