Oh the nostalgia! 😄 I remember the grappling hooks making a different sound and being much easier to do, but I do remember the plane being annoyingly difficult to fly, lol

Wow, excellent upload. Definitely nothing like the Capcom game as you mentioned but very interesting to boot. Great graphics, good use of the theme song and I like the trials that you have to deal with - including you controlling Launchpad to take you places. Those climbing levels though with that grappling hook, though lol! That hard earned cash difficulty looked nigh impossible. Thanks for this piece of history upload.

so i owned this but couldnt play it - my folks got a second hand Tandy 1000 rl off of my mothers co worker who was moving. It came with this but it was the EGA version, apparently they were separate releases. ive only now gotten to play it with a Retropie DosBox emulation of my beloved Tandy 1000, but i finally got to play it (on my 27" Samsung CRT in a 240p mode so i can play 320x200 accurately (and the 640x200 modes they also had for TL graphics so Wing Commander (it has to be manually converted in DOS from the EGA port, i believe, resolution downscale, they didnt just 'make' a Tandy video mode, oddly).

I played this game a lot, but never experienced it with anything but PC Speaker. How the hell did you get this "master system"-like sound working? is it Tandy 3-voice ? DOSBox emulation? or ?

Yes sound is Tandy/PCjr via DOSBox emu with in "dosbox.conf" file set "machine=tandy" or start dosbox.exe -machine tandy

I played this as a kid but I hated it. It's basically a collection of pretty awful minigames tied together by a reasonably good concept.

It's Tandy 3 Voice. Another DOS game that uses Tandy 3-Voice was The Three Stooges. Tandy 3-Voice can do Digitized Speech (which the traditional PC-Speakers cannot).

do you realize this is actually a GREAT financially educative game? I ddiN't know back then as a kid...now in adulthood I understand everything..it's funny how you move around sliders and buy stocks building a portfolio.
