When I was young I was so excited about this game. I had a calendar on my wall I would count the days for. I even got to know some of the people who were working at Interplay on the DragonPlay website. Then I got the game and it was so disappointing. I remember thinking everything is so slow! Good to see it again almost 30 years later.

Good video, I was seeing that the games on your channel are from MSDOS, I have been looking for two specific games that I don't remember the names but more or less what they were about, maybe you or someone could help me, the first: it was a game It looked like Xenon 2 but instead of the ship I think it was a green dog that was facing aliens (I'm not so sure if it was aliens), the second was a kind of monkey or dwarf who had a red suit that covered his entire body I had to jump platforms that went down and others went up and I had to get to the other side. In addition, between the platforms there were enemies that I think were bats, spiders and other bugs that I no longer remember. If anyone knows or recognizes these two games, I'll ask them. appreciate..

This was one of those games I couldn’t get to load correctly through DOS and when I did get it working I would fight the nausea to keep playing.

Hi, would you consider adding commentary during/to your playthroughs?
@thriftweedsКүн бұрын
No, never and it's better this way. There are already too many commentaries out there.
@DominatorHDXКүн бұрын
@@thriftweeds Ah OK. That's a pity.
@memphispiper2823Күн бұрын
@@DominatorHDX thriftweeds needs no pity you merely want a comedian and care not in sharing a common interest in this cool retro Star Wars game
@DominatorHDXКүн бұрын
@@memphispiper2823 The opposite is true. I like and play many 80s and 90s retro PC games myself from time to time, watch many YT videos about them and I'm a big Star Wars fan! Just that adding commentary with comments and reactions during the playthroughs or any other information about the game would make it more enjoyable to watch. But it was just a suggestion, no need to (wrongfully) label me.

Beautiful graphics, a deep love and knowledge of the martial arts, humorous caricatures of various film & martial arts heroes...what's not to like? Well...unfortunately as great as the game is, it could have been better. The whole Ki energy feature in theory was great, but in practice the only way to build it up was endless blocking. And without the Ki energy it was a grind to wear down any of the opponents. Nice to see the ending though!

Damn. I MISS that game...BUT.. it seems EVERY TIME (over the years) i would download/try the newest version and my machine would soon-after...get virused... like within 1 month... hard drive is "F***'d.. won't touch it with a 10' pole in 2024! However.. we DO HAVE options...and the dream lives on with games like "Shellshock Live" on Steam and cross-platform. You earned my sub! LOVED THAT GAME BACK IN THE DAY!!!! But STAY CLEAR of the new "3D Scorched Community".. a bunch of hackers up to no good imo.

Sound, atmoshpere, gameplay were all spot on. Back then it was just a couple of computer nerds creating games that they loved to play themselves.
@ThyPandora6 күн бұрын
I find it amusing that the SNES version of this game, had more events and was much easier to play. Rarely were console ports ever better then their the PC counterparts at the time, but wow, this takes the cake with how the console versions of this were better.
@ThyPandora6 күн бұрын
They really went all out with the graphics, and only focusing on five events compared to the wider selection in the SNES edition.

Dune redefined real time strategy gaming and, from the looks of things, it's redefined cinematography as well. This game is passed my time but I'm very proud to have played dune 2000 when it came out which was the game that absolutely hooked me on frank Herbert's dune.

And you try and tell the young people of today that you played without a map, manually taking measurements of the geographic latitude, with expensive limited and heavy food, not seeing ships from hundreds of miles away... - and to know were to go you drew, printed or bought yourself a paper map of the Caribbean and LEARNED it ... they won't believe you. Today's version of the game - even giving you the full detailed map shown at any time - after some inactivity on the sea just asks you to which port you wish to go and sets the course automatically... And it is pretty hard to eat all the food. Were the people so much smarter 35 years ago?

For those wondering why this version is called "Dyna Blaster" and not "Bomberman", in Europe (where this port released), Bomberman was a term used to describe terrorists, so they had to change Bomberman to "Dyna Blaster". This change only lasted a little while however, as years later, Bomberman was finally released with it's original titles intact.
