Do you remember the 85 train cars lined up in two rows , full of iron ore and all the cars had been opened . releasing the ore into the tracks where the car's sat ??? across from the dairy bar ? does anybody remember ? That summer it got up to 104° F and 130° heat index . We couldn't keep hired hand's for a full day at double pay to shovel out the ore to free the train up. I lasted 9 day's and had a stroke that changed my life forever .

What a joke . They used a few thousand acres and you act like it’s the end of the known world in TN. I live 20 miles from duck town and as kids we used to go ride dirt bikes there and it was a terrific area for play. Then the feds came in and it’s now just like the rest of the federal lands . It’s beautiful and USELESS FOR ALL OF US

No one is making it sound like the end of the known world. It was the site of an ecological disaster, and deserves more coverage then it has gotten
