Not much left of Turtletown, TN but I think it’s still worth exploring! Care to join me?

in high school (80s) many of my summer vacations were spent in Turtletown, Tn. My mom's mom was originally from this area. My grandmother met my grandfather in this area when he worked for the CCCs (Civilian Conservation Corp). They eloped and her husband was originally from NJ. So they moved back to NJ. My family was the Minnie Patterson family. Minnie was my great grandmother. My grandmother took care of her mother when she had broken her hip. It has been so many years since I have been in Turtletown, we would go visit my grandmother and great grandmother over the summer. Now, I am going to check out your Ducktown video, which is about 10 miles up the road from Turtletown.

Don't worry about your voice. It was a good video. Enjoyed seeing with my gf what her old town looked like and seeing what stuff used to be open.

Turtletown is approximately 25 minutes from Blue Ridge Ga and 30 minutes from Murphy NC. Turtletown is 15 minutes from Copper Hill Tennessee. Taxes on 5 acres and a small cabin is around $120 per year. Utilities are affordable. Firewood is plenteous and it’s a nice quiet place to live.
