Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad this helped you. After doing this to my GF's keyboard (the one in the video) I have some regrets about getting the one 2 SF for myself, as I could have just gotten a mecha mini and done this to it and I'd have arrow keys. Oh well.

@@rolandimargvelashvili1776 as far as I know you can remap any key to any other key. The only ones I would be hesitant to do would be the fn key itself.

Thanks. I have the 2061 and it worked great. I had no luck with other videos. I think the dipswitches for the 2061 have different mappings than the one 2 mini or other mecha models. I just switch profiles now to use arrows and it’s great.
@NickDiVona3 жыл бұрын
I think that is the case as well. There are little things Ducky changes from gen to gen that don't look any different which leads to some pretty difficult problems. Most notably, people updating their boards with the wrong version of the firmware and bricking their keyboards.

The profile is saved to the board so it should work. This is similar (albeit worse) to something like QMK, which I would highly recommend. Sadly, I don't think ducky will be implementing QMK on any of their boards.

Hi, great vid, thanks. However, it doesn't work for me since I'm French and I use AZERTY layout. Therefore, I NEED my RightAlt key because I wouldn't be able to use "@" or "#" otherwise. Any tips ??? Something like "magic touch" maybe (like arrow on 'tap', default function on 'hold' ?) thanks for the help
@NickDiVona2 жыл бұрын
You can use this method to rebind any key to any other key, even if you need the other alt. I have moved on to using keyboards powered by QMK and VIA which have slightly more elegant mapping tech than the onboard mapping found in Ducky keyboards. Magic tap functionality sounds promising though. Best of luck!

Hi, when the arrow keys are mapped using macros, are you able to then use them with LShift and LCtrl? Often I need to "jump" back a few words to fix a typo or increase my text selection by a few chars or a couple of extra words. Thanks!
@NickDiVona3 жыл бұрын
This method only rebinds the keys on the right side. You can use it to rebind any keys you'd like. So to answer your question, you will still have full access to your lower left cluster of keys, and they will do what they normally do, unless you remap those too. Hope this helps!

with this configuration it means that the right shift is now only usable as an up arrow key. Is there a way to allow it to shift other keys while still being used as an up arrow key?
@NickDiVona3 жыл бұрын
You could remap fn + right shift to give you that, but you wouldn't be able to use it as quickly as just pressing the key down. On a 60% there are compromises, you either lose your arrow cluster, or you lose that right shift when remapping via my method. If you really need both, I think the best solution is to get a 65% or 75% so you have the dedicated arrows plus your lower right controls.

If you're in the USA you can buy on mechanicalKeyboards.com however I don't know their stock situation... I think they just process orders and ship out the boards in order of who ordered. We had almost no wait time for this one.

@NickDiVona4 жыл бұрын
I am a little confused as to what you're asking. The entire purpose of this video is to show you how to rebind the arrow keys normally accessed by holding fn and then pressing either i, j, k, or l. However, the lessons in this video can be applied to remap any key anywhere.

Im using this keyboard to play dota 2 , how to press F1 and tab in game? pls help
@NickDiVona4 жыл бұрын
In order to use F1 + tab, you would press and hold the Fn key, then press 1. If you need to press both in the order you posted I would hold the FN key, then the 1 key, then the tab key. This might generate unexpected results if the keyboard registers it as Fn Tab but nothing bad should happen. Also, if you need f keys I recommend getting either a TKL or a 75% board. For Starcraft 2 (the only game I play where I need to access F-key functionality quickly) I use a TKL.

If it has the same configuration then it should. Otherwise, their website might have an updated guide. Personally, I have moved to QMK based boards for the customization aspect, though there is a little bit more learning that comes with that.

This works on any one2 mini with the matching model number I have given, as per ducky’s docs. The issue is either you have a different version of the board, or messed up the steps.
