thumb rule : 1 ton (400 cfm ) for every 125 sqft. .EXAMPLE : Calculate room size : 12 ft length x 6ft width = 132 sq.ft = 1.056 ton = 400 cfm approx. GOOD LUCK

The distance between the two diffusers should be even based on the layout. Different factor need to be considered while considering the location of the diffuser such as the furniture layout and based on the area and experience you should decide.

Depending upon the CFM Airflow the size of the Diffuser are provided by the manufacturer. It is the job of the engineer to check in the catalog and select as per the requirement. Usually it is selected in such a way that by making an standing size of the different with in the Airflow range.

2 x (w + h) x l is the area of the straight duct. now if the size are reducers then you need to modify the same formula accordingly. For example if you have different width and height of the duct then. 2 x (w1+w2/2) + (h1+h2/2) x l

FCU are of two types... 1. Ductless and 2. Ducted As per design requirement it can be both. usually they are all ducted.
