I love the detail of knowing that Mark would bring a tank to a bot fight, the first four are focused on just disabling the tank, and the last one to actually damage the thing. Unfortunately, they forgot to account for the Trojan Rat.

The last 2 were made by Ray Billings- the last bot in there on Dude Perfect's side is a rebadged StinkEye (RoboGames 2023/2024), which uses the same chassis as Tombstone with a vertical spinner. Of course, they did add the poor quality thwacking sledge on the back for this video.

Fun fact: The flipper bot that Mark used at the end is the robot Blip from Battlebots. Its flipper is powered by a spinning disk inside of the machine (similar to Tyler’s weapon). This meant that Tyler was fighting a machine that could flip him much harder than he could hit.

Micheal Reeves and William Osman have done some things at NHRL. One time they each built half a robot, assembled the 2 half together at the competition, and used that to fight. They also cooked hot dogs in the arena and, uh, destroyed a children's hospital...NHRL is fun!

Everybody who wants to see more stuff like battlebots should check out NHRL combat robotics, they work with smaller bots (I think 15 pounds is their largest category) but encourage the drivers to be very expressive with building styles.

There's a few questionable things about this, for example the arena flat-out couldn't handle Cybertank ramming into it and that's a safety concern (and especially having a bot with a _SPINNING WEAPON_ in the same arena), but I haven't seen anything that embodies the spirit of the sport of robot combat anywhere near as well as this in a LONG time.

Check out NHRL, they do smaller bots but have a stance where as people are encouraged to build the craziest stuff (within safety spec)

@@MudakTheMultiplier I'm super-familiar with NHRL. I'm also familiar with how, despite the event hosts encouraging crazy stuff, that event has become hyper-competitive like pretty much every other event out there.

They don't put nearly as much content online and it's not as well produced, but there are things like county fairs that do antweight competitions you could see in person. I always mention NHRL first because they're easy to find and have great spectacle, but they are by no means the only ones.

Always been aware of dude perfect, but never watched any videos, however, introduce some Robot Combat in the style of Battle Bots (or Robot Wars for us in the UK) and I'm there in a heartbeat. hope to see stuff like this again. Robot Combat is my favourite hobby and I'm all for seeing more people get into it :)
