Everytime we have to go to a family function my husband feels the need to put air in the tires, never fails. I always allot just enough time for us to drive there but I give us plenty of time to get ready. Why he doesn't fill the tires in that two hour get ready time is beyond me.

Well said. And I love animals. But I don't care how well behaved their dog is, it causes unwanted issues. Tracks in mud, eats grass and barfs, leaves nose prints all over the windows, or worse.... Scratches the windows because it paws at the glass when it wants in., Etc. Etc. the host family doesn't want additional pets, if they did.... They would've went and got one already.

We've bought a house and reno is almost complete but since I'm pregnant and due Nov 30th I really don't want to have anybody over... but my husband wants to host Thanksgiving so he can show off the house... the problem is that I'M the one that does 90% of the cooking and my in laws don't help cook anything ever(they can't cook to save their lives).

It's been three years, so now I hope you have a dear little child who's probably asking to help cook. About those relatives who can't cook - don't let them get away with being deadbeats. They can buy coffee, napkins, cranberry sauce, bread & butter, milk, frozen vegetables to pop in the wave and ready-made pies.

@merryhunt9153 Thank you for your kind words. Everything turned out fine btw and our family is doing good! I do love cooking but I never been that exhausted in my life. We kept dinner very simple, and my husband smoked a turkey at his parent's house instead then brought it over for dinner. I went into labor the next day and had our daughter on the 27th. My inlaws actually are nice but they REALLY can't cook so they babysit while my husband and I prepare the food.

I always showed up a little too sloshed but not terribly too sloshed and then I would get my uncle's that don't drink very much terribly sloshed used to piss my aunt's off when I'd have Uncle George out there smoking weed for the first time that year.
