That was a brutal shoe. You couldn't even win with 20s and 19s. I use to play alot of blackjack in the 80s, in Reno, Nv, and there were some dealers I just couldn't win against. I found out the older dealers, the ones with the most experience, were always the toughest to win against. The younger female dealers, who hadn't been on the job very long, were the easiest to beat. If I found a tired dealer, I could usually beat them without too much trouble. I learned if I ran into a tough dealer, like the one you were playing here, it's was best just to leave and find another table. If I kept playing against a hot dealer, (them winning most of the hands) rarely would the cards ever turn to favor me. When it came to tipping a dealer, I would only tip them if I had a winning session. Not too often, because they are there to clean you out, it's either that, or you win against them. Why tip them if you lose? It's like giving someone your money after they slap you in the face.

The problem is you never know when to up the bet size. Off a run that bad I would have quadrupled the bet each hand. Or escalated the bet size.

Ask for a shuffle, when cards are bad for you. You don't need to play out the shoe. And since you do play those stakes, learn how to count cards and press when it's in your favor.

Apparently Vegas casinos had one of their best years ever in 22. Started raising the minimums & only paying 6:5 on blackjack. Also added triple zero on roulette.

@@BMLGaming The problem is that Joe Q Public has no idea what the difference is, and if he just did a tiny bit of very basic math... $100 blackjack pays $120 instead of $150...imagine you play 10 hours and get even 1 blackjack per hour at those stakes - that's $300...doesn't sound like much but over time...if you did this every day for a month? $9000? And people will say, "but who has the money or time to play that much at those stakes?" And I'll say, "Let me introduce you to my buddy Frank..." Frank is a retired multi-millionaire and is 76. His family is gone and he has no one. What else should he do with his money but play a game he obviously loves? Of course, Frank doesn't need the money...but that's hardly the point...he needs it more than the casinos do!

I absolutely can't stand those 6'5 tables. I stay away from them and you'll think of all places Vegas wouldn't do it. They're already getting enough of our money 🤑... I saw the report about the 6'5 ratio on the news about BJ players are losing money bcuz of it they said that specifically. I'm going to advise ppl not to play on them when I can.❤

@@michellejones2433 Yeah it's pretty ridiculous to me that they make so many tables 6-5 but I found out why...I talked to one of the dealers in one of the bigger pits about how I'd seen all the $25 tables had been turned to 6-5 payout and she said they had done it because they'd run the numbers and realized how much more money they could make. She said that that one single thing alone had added $90 Million to their bottom line...plus it's a card counter deterrent - it forces counters to basically only play the high limit rooms in many places...or to go to a different casino. Basically they don't want ANYONE to come in there using their brain to gamble. They want drunken idiots who will slap down money without a thought, lose it, whip out more from their wallet, and press play on repeat! It's disgusting the amount of greed these corporations have. I get it, they have shareholders to please but at the cost of their customer's loyalty?? Doesn't make sense to me. It's like the McDonald's workers who demanded $15 and quickly got what they wanted, but then had their jobs replaced by machines and self serve kiosks. These casinos are gonna drive players to other casinos that don't do that and then those guys will make all the money I guess. You can still find $25 tables that are 3-2 at places downtown...even right off the strip too - like Gold Coast (and I would imagine The Orleans too, since they're both Boyd properties and both off-strip in the same general area).

It doesn’t matter who cuts the deck, it’s when the casino removes (shorts) the deck of 10s, and face cards. It drastically increases the odds for house wins. Hence, the dealer rarely bust, and the players rarely get 20 on their first two hands.

That was rough. Sometimes there just isn't anything you can do. I am coming off three sessions, +$3k, -$3k, +$3.5k, the one in the middle really felt like this. So many dealer draw-outs to made hands and pat 20s. Thank you for showing some loss videos at well to balance the expectations of your viewers. (By the way A2v4 isn't a double if you're going by the book, literally only strategy difference I saw here, I think it would have made a difference that hand...but the rest of the shoe went well for you after losing that hand, so maybe in the moment it was better you played it that way?)

I'm thinking 'Brutal' doesn't quite capture the sentiment of this session. The Casinos though squarely improved their odds with multi deck shoes, and even worse if they use the auto-shuffler. Blackjack can be beat, but not under those conditions, unless you are very lucky. Personally, I stopped going to Vegas for that reason. I don't even know if they offer single or double deck games any more.

What I've learned about blackjack is, it's not always best to play how your suppose to. Sometimes hit that 12-16. The dealer always hits 12-16. So, I should hit it sometimes too. 😉😉😉😉

My biggest wins on BJ was playing with ppl going against basic strategy. You almost have to especially if you're losing. One unorthodox hit can save your butt or your hand sorta speak lol. I'll play two hands and yes I'll take them in and out just to see what's working. That by the book crap is a bunch of garbage in my opinion.❤
