In a lot of blackjack, tournaments a black jack hand pays two to one to prevent doubling down and keeping less cards in play. That may have happened in your instance.

You bet that your cards are going to a pair (like two sevens). What kind of pairs they are determines the payout. A mixed pair (a diamond seven and a spade seven) lowest. A coloured pair (a club seven and a spade seven) mid. A perfect pair (two club sevens) is the highest payout. I just used sevens as an example, but it can be any paired cards. @@agamos9764

@@agamos9764The side bet on this table in particular (being in a high-limit room) is that the player gets a matching pair of cards. Without being dealt the pair, the player loses the side bet. Lower stakes blackjack can have a variety of side bets that function in the same manner. Progressive jackpots, three-of-a-kind, perfect pair, things of that nature.

It’s for the dealer. Kind like if the dealer is also betting but with the guys money. If he wins the hand, the dealer gets the 100 plus 100 for winning with him. But also, if the player wants to double, he needs to double the 100 he added to the dealer as well
