weird, the Keycard theme feels way more climatic than the actual Climax theme.

It makes me feel like they composed all 3 at once and then separated them into different themes.

Definitely the case, although it does take some time to find the appropriate cuts. Even for something like theme 15 I had to overlay the percussion from keycard onto the normal theme.
