2 cranes are Okish while 2 Yamatos will hurt the deck searching and GY fueling... Mikazuchi, Arasuda or Hirume are possible replacements because they are all "Beast-Warriors" so even if you can't XYZ summon at the moment you can at least activate Bujin monster effects (from your hand or GY) the require a "Beast-Warrior" Bujin monster on the field... Out of the 3 Mikazuchi helps you search Bujincarnation at the end of your turn so you can make a comeback on your next turn. Hirume is great for XYZ summon cause you can special summon him as long as you have the requirement to do so Arasuda lets you draw 1 card and discard on card to fuel your GY. Hope that helps...

Shokan, means summon in japanese. And you know it's a core card by the way it makes a deck consistent, it can be a card that searches/negates/summons more cards/boost effect, cards that help you accelarate your deck's combo.

It's Xyz Summon. Pronounced ex-sees. Even on the card it should say [Warrior/Xyz/Effect] or something to that effect. Like [Spellcaster/Fusion/Effect] or [Zombie/Synchro/Effect].
