Thanks for the awesome review. I'm sold on this. I have a few Hautes already based on your reviews. Keep up the good work! Does this one use gp2040?
@drjones6942 ай бұрын
1st Thank you for the super chat !!! It is greatly appreciated means a lot Yes this pad runs a forked version of GP2040 like the Haute42 models. The only changes are they added code to make the screen options work but the web configurator still works as normal for settings Thanks for watching subscribing and your comment

Great review as usual! Majority of the most popular leverless controllers cause ulnar deviation in my wrists due to how cramped they are. So the added space between the hands helps but it's the inward rotation of the keys on each side that I'm most looking forward to.

Facts, I agree I wish more brands make split ergo models The spacing on the split ergo pads and boxes is really nice and comfortable I love how the community is growing I cant wait for more of these split ergo models with different button sizes and spacing to hit the market only giving more options and styles I also love the unique design on this pad Thanks for watching subscribing and your comment

In that case, are you looking for something more like tikitaka s15 or not?

Nice controller I like the design Wish the clear came with black rings and black caps too

I agree hopefully they offer the Matte black Acrylic Crystal - white rings and Acrylic Black - black rings that would be really cool Thanks for watching subscribing and your comment

hey man, made the purchase based on your recommendation, great reviews, liked & subbed. do you know by any chance whether you can remap one of the jump buttons separately?
@drjones694Ай бұрын
1st thank you !!! much appreciated Not sure i understand your question but I think your asking if you can remap all the buttons Yes you can You will want to go to the Web Configurator PIN mapping Click PIN viewer button and press the button you want to remap Then you can remap all buttons to what ever you like Just DO NOT REMAP THE START BUTTON or you will not be able to get back into the web config without using the bootsel / reset button on the bottom of the controller I have my bottom 2 large buttons mapped to Up for Left or Right thumb and mapped the 2 left buttons to L3 / R3 / Touchpad Hope that helps Thanks for watching subscribing and your comment

@@drjones694 what i meant is i thought the three "up" buttons are hard-wired on the PCB, so if one is to remap one of them, the other two would also be remapped to the same action
@drjones694Ай бұрын
@@Hontonoki I see no they are all independent So you can keep buttons where you want and make 4 profiles set all differently

Will it work with iPad or android projector?
@drjones69413 күн бұрын
The firmware on this pad is GP2040 which most of the newer pads have been using lately. GP2040 DOES work on Android GP2040 on iOS (iPhone / iPad) I'm not sure I haven't tested that yet Hope that helps Thanks for watching subscribing and your comment

Which do you think is better? The duel pad zen 16 or the tikitaka? I’m looking for a split layout, currently have the duel pad a16. I’m just no sure if there’s enough wrist/hand space for lap play with the zen 16.
@drjones694Ай бұрын
@@OhDiluck coming from the A16 I would point you to the Zen given the spacing will feel very similar just split and angled to ergonomic The Tikitaka S15 is nice and more similar to the Duelpad C12 or any standard 12 button layout just split Hope that helps Thanks for watching subscribing and your comment

The Zen is technically shorter by 1 adapter width about 1 inch in width they are the same size and the Zen is technically wider The shape makes it look compact but it's a large pad with a really nice design I use it on my lap with no issues Thanks for watching subscribing and your comment

How durable do you think the controller is? Would you call this one of the best on the market?
@drjones6942 ай бұрын
@@gentlekef8653 For controllers built very well and for the price so many extra features If you drop it it'll break like any other controller But Duelpad does a great job of putting a lot of value in their controllers for the price It comes with ghost or white rain switches out the box that's usually an extra $20 after purchase. Their A16 was built great too they don't have as many models as other brands so they're lesser known but they make the controllers very well and they come with lots of extra features out the box Other major difference is their button layout is usually a little bit tighter and close together Hope that helps Thanks for watching subscribing and your comment

@@drjones694 You're the goat man, always great vids and great in the comments. If you don't mind me asking, I never had rings around my controller buttons, I only had the snackboxmicro xl. Would it be hurdle? I never piano
@drjones6942 ай бұрын
Thanks much appreciated I try my best to help the community make the hard decision and with so many options its really tough for the rings no it wont be a hurdle if you have a pad now the buttons are probably 2 quarters off the base any ring flat pad will be 4 quarters off the base 2 quarters for the rings and 2 quarters for the button to press which is standard height for any arcade button as well I, like you do not piano style so some pads can be to tight together for my hands so with that said coming from a Haute42 T large wide design The buttons here are closer together I would say the T is maybe 3 american quarters apart and the Duelpads and DOIO and ASI are about 2 quarters apart not much of a reference but hope that kind of clarifies i can still play on them just fine and dont get cramp feelings I will be live streaming with them this week tues / sun weather and etc permitting to show on camera and compare with any ring controller the buttons will be twice as tall which is not an issue in use unlock the MX box style switches on flatpads that can be 5 to 7 quarters tall and can be uncomfortable for me this model and the haute42 and tikitaka flat ring pads are not an issue for me
