J was actually correct about the alien thing during the training test. That's why Zed looks at K. He was the only one to think outside the box, hence him saying "This was everything we expected from you all" aka an insult to the others trained to fire first and ask questions later. Plus, in the animated series, they reveal a dangerous alien in fact does look like Tiffany, meaning J was correct to analyze and say "She's the one that's a problem".

3 Fun Facts for you: 1. The Worms (the aliens in the coffee room), were actually speaking the language of Jabba the Hutt from "Star Wars". 2. If you notice, the Edgar suit decomposes all throughout the movie, up to the point he straight up looks like a zombie in the climax. 3. The one roach that Will Smith stepped on to anger the Bug was actually just a mustard packet.

Edgar/The Bug is Vincent D'Onofrio's best role ever. And arguably one of the best physical comedy *and* body horror performances of all time IMHO. He starts out like a frickin' Beetlejuice character while his skin's still all fresh and elastic... but by the time the movie ends and he does his magic trick? He's straight out of The Fly. This was huge when it came out in 1997. 1997 was a great year for movies. So many bangers. This was on the heels of Independence Day and this was the movie that really cemented Will Smith as a Hollywood star and box office draw. As Good As It Gets is a 1997 Oscar nominated film that has been almost forgotten, even though the winners for Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor are all in it. Gran Torino gets a lot of praise, but As Good As It Gets is where that kind of character was at its best.

I love the scenes where they're testing potential MIB agents. They're both funny but also identify the unique traits needed for the job. The scene where they're filling out the paperwork is intentionally meant to be the most uncomfortable and inconvenient situation, and J is the only one to go for the little table at the center of the room because he isn't afraid to take initiative and think outside the box. In the shooting gallery, J shoots the little girl because he sees beyond shallow appearances and facades and he notices details others would ignore. Appearances can be deceiving in a world where aliens live among us.
