This movie has one of my very favorite quotes: A thousand years ago, everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.

J was actually correct about the alien thing during the training test. That's why Zed looks at K. He was the only one to think outside the box, hence him saying "This was everything we expected from you all" aka an insult to the others trained to fire first and ask questions later. Plus, in the animated series, they reveal a dangerous alien in fact does look like Tiffany, meaning J was correct to analyze and say "She's the one that's a problem".

And even if you think about , when k siits down with james after he said that most of the aliens are good, they just want to make a living, so it makes sense, maybe those aliens they shot were just chill guys

3 Fun Facts for you: 1. The Worms (the aliens in the coffee room), were actually speaking the language of Jabba the Hutt from "Star Wars". 2. If you notice, the Edgar suit decomposes all throughout the movie, up to the point he straight up looks like a zombie in the climax. 3. The one roach that Will Smith stepped on to anger the Bug was actually just a mustard packet.

Edgar/The Bug is Vincent D'Onofrio's best role ever. And arguably one of the best physical comedy *and* body horror performances of all time IMHO. He starts out like a frickin' Beetlejuice character while his skin's still all fresh and elastic... but by the time the movie ends and he does his magic trick? He's straight out of The Fly. And he somehow manages to make the transition between the two totally seamless as the stakes get higher.

"K, did you ever flashy-thing me?" "No." "I ain't playin' witchoo, K! Did you ever flashy-thing me?" "No." Vincent D'Onofrio doesn't get enough credit for his fantastic physical acting. His portrayal of Edgar the Bug is a tour de force. My favorite bit is him outside the jewelry store in the van trying to 'act casual.' And did you recognize Tony Shalhoub ('Monk') as pawn shop owner Jack Jeebs?

This was huge when it came out in 1997. 1997 was a great year for movies. So many bangers. This was on the heels of Independence Day and this was the movie that really cemented Will Smith as a Hollywood star and box office draw. As Good As It Gets is a 1997 Oscar nominated film that has been almost forgotten, even though the winners for Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor are all in it. Gran Torino gets a lot of praise, but As Good As It Gets is where that kind of character was at its best.

You were right that 1997 wad a great year for movies. I love the scenes where they're testing potential MIB agents. They're both funny but also identify the unique traits needed for the job. The scene where they're filling out the paperwork is intentionally meant to be the most uncomfortable and inconvenient situation, and J is the only one to go for the little table at the center of the room because he isn't afraid to take initiative and think outside the box. In the shooting gallery, J shoots the little girl because he sees beyond shallow appearances and facades and he notices details others would ignore. Appearances can be deceiving in a world where aliens live among us.

We better hope the brothers aren’t our first contact, because they have zero chill about killing aliens without saying hi first lol

"Elvis is not dead. He just went home." This hit me back when i was a teenager and watching Lilo and Stitch when Jumba is trying to catch Stitch in Lilo's house and Hound Dog starts playing. Jumba starts bouncing to the beat and declares, "Oh, I love this song!" It makes complete sense that Elvis would be an alien and after he left Earth he went on tour throughout the galaxy! And I will die on that hill.

21:09 - actually, machine changed his prints into another pattern. If he gets sloppy and leaves fingerprints at a scene while working, he would have to get burned again. It's basically a tool of training agents to be careful.

The best blockbuster of the 90’s, the action, Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones chemistry, the cool special effects, the humor, Vincent D’Onofrio as a creepy villain, this movie has everything
