I actually went to an Angels game where John C Reilly ended up coming in late with a friend and their kids sitting behind me. When the Angels hit a home run everybody was cheering so I yelled shake and bake and he started laughing. He then left early leaving most of the bag of peanuts. Ferrell is full of surprises. He does seem to have a type, that he often plays. This story is somewhat similar to the Anchorman story. However, he also occasionally pulls off a surprise characterization, too. For instance, I think the Lego movie proves he can pull off a serious role, as well. You might like Stranger than Fiction. It's kinda comedic, but there's not nearly as much slapstick in it. Speaking of Tom Cruise, you might want to check out "Days of Thunder". It's a Cruise movie, where he also Cruises around the NASCAR track. It's always good to see you guys' reactions. Live "long" and prosper.

The whole joke with Applebee's in the movie is that it's not amazing food but they acted like it was the greatest thing ever..especially considering how "city country bumpkin" they kinda were. The food's fine, but it's about the epitome of a sitdown restaurant someone would likely avoid if they had more than just decent money.

Just a reminder this film came out in 2004 when a lot of culture was still overly homophobic, Hence the awkward reaction to Jean Gerard being openly gay in the south, Though it should be noted Ricky never has an issue with Gerard ebing gay it's his pride that makes him hate him. Further it should be noted that Gerard is actually depicted as an awkward but Honorable man, and Ricky kissing him at the end was a sign that Ricky no longer puts his pride before things that matter like friends, family, and good sportsmanship.
