Marie Jacquot is expressive yet elegant. A superb conductor. I really like her style and presence.

7:39 That is an INCREDIBLE contrabassoon sound. So thick and full and resonant. Gave me goosebumps.

this is confusing 😅. in german a Kontrabass is a string bass and a Kontrafagott is the contrabassoon.

Semplicemente meraviglioso; eccezionale orchestra e direttrice.

What I wouldn't give to live in Frankfurt, and be able to attend performances such as this regularly. Heaven!

How great is this orchestra! The first chair woodwind players are not playing and their (nominally speaking) substitutes sound splendid. What an orchestra!

Bravo!!! That's a tough piece to get right; it needs both a precise conductor & an experienced orchestra--obviously both are on display.

Tolle Balance.

Every time I listen to this late-romantic and colorful masterpiece, it reminds me of the well-known Disney cartoon, even if it is performed by a German orchestra. Always fascinating!

Beautiful, charming , great performance , very well expressed the magic of the fantasy . the only thing that i do not forgive Dukas , is that he went out after the second movement during the world premiere of the Mahler's second symphony ....
