@@johnloma in terms of pure hooligan fun, the 390. In a more practical sense, the 890. The 390 was a ton of fun to pop wheelies and rip through town but the 890 is something special and feels like something truly made well. The power, the handling, the brakes, it’s all just superior but not as fun to pop little wheelies on and jump curbs.

Got me duke 390 last month, still brealing it in so not revving it + mineral oil doesn't let the engine rev, but man I love seeing the topend here. Also learning lean angles, educational, nice.

@@kennlopez5907 DNA sells a replacement for the airbox lid which is a filter adds a lot to the sound and more air. I had to fit a fuel injection controller to make the mixture more rich. Expensive yes but a one time investment. Also improved the mileage or miles per gallon.

Just got a 2022 Duke 390 😊 it’s a real hoot. I’ve done 500kms so far. Still breaking it in. Haven’t gone above 6000rpm yet. Workshop guys at the KTM shop told me to not open it up to 12000rpm until I complete 1000kms & get first service. Anyways that’s how I get to work now. On a DUKE 390!!! 👍💯🏁 *p.s* if you’re wondering if you should get one 🤔 YES!🎉 YES YOU SHOULD ✅ KTM 390 is a super cool & super fun & extremely capable bike. Buy one tomorrow 🔥

Hey i got the ktm dukd 390 a month ago still a beginner. When u are cornering. When u enter the corner, do u break with rear only, and do you engage your clutch when u enter the corner? If u could explain that process b4 entering the corner I would appreciate it

Hey it's actually well explained, if you look up "trail breaking motorcycle". But I'll do my job here for a sec. I break almost front only. A little with the rear too but the rear break is more like a tool to smooth out anything that I won't get right with the whole breaking process. Its like I break it down heavily with the front and then add a little from the rear to modify the whole process. What I do in essence: Build up the pressure nice and smooth (but in the end pretty hard) and when I start cornering, I open the front break while I start leaning. That takes a lot of practice to make it perfect, because you will have to work your way towards it slowly. I hope that helps :)

You can think of it this way: If you are a full pro rider it would work like this: No Lean angle: you can break full power around 45 degree: you can't break, the tires are on full load already and let's say right in between, at 22 degrees: you can still break around 50% of the max break power (WHICH IS INSANLY HIGH tbh.) But that is not a fully correct approach, it points out pretty well what I do though. Ofcourse you have to simply go and learn it step by step if you want :)

Break before you lean into a corner. If you break during a corner you can lose traction and crash your bike. Breaking after leaning and during a turn is a bit more advanced and requires experience. Maintain steady throttle during the lean or slowly accelerate as you are coming out the corner and straightening up your bike. Watch KZbin and focus on the basics. Also take a basic motorcycle course, they will teach you this stuff and more.

All like original except the sprocket on the back is on 43 instead of 45. Vmax is around 175 and you get a bit less torque on the backwheel but I love the duke this way

It might. It‘s better you do an ecu flash then. If you just go for a cut delete or different db, it‘s no problem though

Ist schon ne nette kleine Maschine, aber trotzdem bevorzuge ich die 790L. Einfach weil ich als A2 Fahrer auch ordentlich was hören möchte und weil bei der 390er Duke das gesamte A2 35kw/48ps Potential nicht komplett ausgenutzt ist.

PS/KG Verhältnis wird doch komplett ausgeschöpft durch das geringe Gewicht der Duke. Mehr wie 44 Ps dürfte sie kaum haben dürfen.

Nice vidéo bro 👍Could you quickly explain how do you wheelie with that bike ? I also have a 390 Duke and I barely can lift the front wheel. Do you do it in first gear or is it also doable in second gear ? Keep up the good work ✌

Thank you sir! I started learning in 1. gear and would recommend you to do so too! When you‘re getting good at it you can go for 2. gear and it will work great! If she doesn’t come up you gotta open the throttle more while you engage the clutch. Mine is pretty much open 100% for a moment, till the bike is up quite a bit. But in the end it‘s a question of lots of practice. Go watch some KZbin Videos about it, there are plenty out there!!
