Good video man! I bought a dozen Duke 550s and think they are a great trap 4 the money!

Giving Duke some backing I think they rightly have Minnesota time to sell their 550’s and establish their customers. Now Duke has a little less sought and cheaper priced model of the same trap and like you said yourself they done the Dogproofs the same way so I don’t think it’s a big deal and it is patent pending so

I would love to have some metallurgic testing done to see the difference in the trap and spring make-up.

Good looking video but can't hear a thing but the chain rubbing against the bench. Sorry just a heads up on sound. Just noticed the date. I went to a more recent vid and sound was better.

did you change your mind on buying any more duke 550? i've heard great things. Still hard to beat a #3 size trap
@motrapper42734 жыл бұрын
james Glendale I bought a dozen Duke 550s and I’m running them now to try and give a fair comparison to the MBs. They are holding up well. For the $ I would say they are hard to beat. Still controversial with the whole US vs China and copying etc, but they seem to be a good trap so far.

Where is each made? I don’t know. Just asking.

Duke has a reputation in my neck of the woods for using cheap metal and I have PLENTY of experience with Duke traps warping at the levers and the jaws not closing and laying properly as a result. I'll NEVER buy another Duke trap to be honest. It's a cheap China knockoff made with subpar metal. It may work good for a season but give it a few seasons under it's belt and you'll see what I'm talking about. The old saying "cry once and smile a lot or smile once and cry a lot" applies here.

I think the no BS traps are not made in the states either if I'm not mistaken. I also think the MB 650 is a copy of another trap the name of it escapes me right now. At any rate thanks for taking the time. Al
@motrapper42735 жыл бұрын
Albert Jamison Jr. the No BS traps are made in Iowa, USA. The 650 is widely regarded as a copy of the MJ 600, but I don’t know either well enough to comment on that.
