Fellow Ducks, while it's interesting to follow Mario post UO, we might show some more respect to Miami fans. They didn't hire Mario, and were sold the idea of an elite coach and alumni, returning to save the program. The huge contract was based on his record at Oregon, but without any Justin Herberts or Kayvon Tibedeaux's to coverup his flaws, the cupboard has been laid frustratingly bare. It's good to stay humble...UO's fortunes have gone up and down, and seasons can be lost in an afternoon. Hopefully, Cristobal can show his recruiting prowess this off season, and be honest with himself about the X's and O's.
@cryogeneric2 жыл бұрын
What Duck fans are you speaking to? I think Lanning is benefitting from the O line Cristobal assembled. However, I never liked Cristobal's offensive philosophy--EVER. And I think we're seeing just how good the Ducks offense can be when it's not handcuffed by an antiquated system. I think Cristobal, for as great of leader he is, is still learning. If given the time, he'll sort this out for Miami.

@@cryogeneric To say Oregon is benefitting from the O line he assembled is like saying Mario benefited from Justin Herbert and other seniors on that rose bowl team. Im shocked at how bad Miami looks. They seem to be getting WORSE as the year advances. They have to be one of the worst teams in college football and they weren't that bad last year. Not even close. When you have 8 Turnovers - most since 2009 in all of CFB, that points to a poor coaching situation, awful discipline and overall a lack of control. It also looked like the team quit on Mario. Btw, what an awful venue for college football. Sorry but that place is like a morgue.

Miami has a talented roster full of 3 and 4 star recruits. Cristobal should have no problem coaching kids like that. The sad fact is, he's a great recruiter but a lousy head coach and his offenses are always terrible. He also sucks at player development
@chuckech33se2 жыл бұрын
@@brutusvonmanhammer Facts. He was lucky to have Herbert around to carry the offense during the early years, who’s looked infinitely better with a competent set of play callers in the NFL.
