Thanks... I bought the record - the March 2022-version (Impulse Stereo A-30) - two days ago. Must say that I doesn't (didn't?) like it. It is as if Ellington and Coltrane are just too different to make the tunes "stick together". BUT since you rate it 5/5, I'll give it another spin or two and see if my opinion changes 🙂

Well, your results may vary! though its imperfections are kind of why I think it's great. It's two generations trying to work together and even when it doesn't come off it's inherently fascinating.
