You got it. It is a comment on the notion of bootstrapping… in so far as bootstrapping is a changing of one’s mind to do something difficult and break through cognitive dissonance or an attempt to bootstrap as a group to right a wrong. I am so glad you dig the song!!!

By zooming in on the outdoor trail shots, I can see you're playin' what looks to be a "real" (and by its condition) a "newer" issue "Martin HD-28, but I'm curious, why is the "CFMartin&Co. Est. 1833." Gold Foil Logo so *faded over*? Just wonderin', "what year" is that guitar you're playin'? I have a 1971 Standard Series D-28 and they were famous for having faded logos in the late 60's and early 70's. I've seen Peter Yarrow, of PP&Mary fame cover his Martin Logo with a wide rubber band and always wondered why, when so many other folks don't cover up the brand name of the guitar they're playin'? Just curious and as Beau would say, "It's just a thought?"😁 BTW, Keep On Truckin'!

It’s a Martin D 28E retro. I love the guitar. It is the best guitar I’ve ever owned. The gold screen print is there it just is faded from my capo that I usually leave clipped on the end of my guitar. Overtime the capo has left a “stain” the screen print. I need to try to clean it off. I hope you like the song. Thanks so much I got more coming in 2023.

@@DukeOurslerMusic Well, that sure makes sense. You might wanna ask a Luthier what's the best cleaning agent you can use to bring that great Logo back to life. I read about lots of folks using Naphtha to clean off gunk, but better ask first, so's you don't take it all off completely? Plus, I know *exactly* why you love your Retro, 'cause I have a 2015 OM-28e-Retro myself, that I play over all my other 8 acoustics, 4 of which are Martins. It takes some gettin' used to, but I do love its Fishman F1-Aura pickup/preamp system, with the 3 selections in Easy Mode and all the 9 Boutique mic selections in the deeper-dive Performance Mode, with that extra bit of Compression you can add for 👊 punch! And speakin' of punch, the Retro sure has a hell of a lot of punch as it is acoustically unplugged. And you can't beat that great built-in window Tuner, that mutes your signal if you're playing plugged in Live. The best of luck to your newer material 👏, Duke. I had a friend of mine spend time in the state pen for a freaking plant and to this day it infuriates me.
