Casting mower repair videos to our TV. The bumper sticker was the first thing my wife saw, lol! We both love it! You got a thumbs up on just that alone.

Okay.. Watched for 7 minutes + and you didn't point the camera at the loose wire. nor mention where to look for it. Any hints?

First impression is don't put it in reverse. Good to hear you jump starter is a good one. Yep, I learned about pressure washer on a car engine some 30 years ago. It peels those emission and belt diagrams right off. lol. Super Clean and a garden hose works good. Good lookin Bronco!

Here is what I want to know. Because this puzzles me. Older MTD Yard Machine 742 RL...... MTD-1D028B70393. Mower runs and cuts fine. Go to reverse with blades running and kills engine. Appears it was made this way factory? Same as will not strart if blades are set to on. Needless to say this is a nightmare mowing and can't reverse unless stop blades. Is there a bypass for this and what is it and how?

I have the same issue, it actually created a much more dangerous situation for me , because as I was struggling to press forward on a hill with a major road behind me , I forgot and I pushed reverse it killed it , the break fails to stop and I was in the road with a semi truck going 65 miles an hour . It all happened in a blink of an eye I was just lucky.

@bbrahbboul2748 just noticed this on my 08 craftsman professional as well.
@bbrahbboul27486 ай бұрын
@@Nelval573 I fixed it by disconnecting a plug that is hidden in the side of the battery. Its connected to the same switch and wires that is under the seat . You follow the wires and you will find it . There are videos on KZbin on how to do it.

Probably something small on the reveres. The Troy looks great, nice unit. I hear you on things to do, the money is a nice bonus but keeping us from going nuts is worth it all.
@dukesworld30205 жыл бұрын
Your right about that, I would go nuts. About the mower, the owner had cut some wires he should not have. He told me this after I returned the mower. Thanks for watching it.

Hey there Duke just subed today and thought I would check you out. Good stuff. My experience with shutting down when in reverse is usually the seat switch. The red troy built is a nice one I hope you do good on it. The silver one I wouldn't give up on if you could find another 42 inch craftsman deck that's in better shape and put that on it then clean it up and throw a little paint on the rusty parts it could be a good one to sell. For me it doesn't matter how old they are if everything works the way it should it's a money maker , otherwise it's just parts. Keep up the great work

I have found that after so long of setting in the weather they usually are rusted thought and thought. But I'll still do an inspection on it then make my assessment of it then. Thanks for subbing and your input.

What wires were loose? Just got same mower with same problem.
@dukesworld30204 жыл бұрын
The owner had replaced the seat on it and had pinched wire on the seat safety switch. Hope this helps.

I find the old mowers and tractors that you can not use any more , make good parts for other customers .
@dukesworld30205 жыл бұрын
Yep, I never throw anything away. I test it and if it's good I put it in my used parts. Thanks for watching!!!
