The analysis on Maluach is all over the place. Some say he’s so raw that he ain’t ready for the college game. Others say he has been dominating against older players for years and will continue to do so in the Olympics against NBA talent. Is Duke getting a dud or a dude worthy of his projection as a top three pick in the 2025 NBA draft? Time will tell.

Khaman won't be pushed around, yes he's still young and getting better everyday but as some have called him "raw" is just absurd, dude has been playing against veteran players for several years. Khaman Maulach is 7'1" 250 lbs and will definitely change players thoughts about driving to the basket. He will also have a 7' freshman teammate named Patrick Ngongba who is definitely a shot blocker, so Dukes got something for ya either way but I expect both of these guys to be very good rim protectors, rebounding and scoring machines. Duke doesn't have a player shorter than 6'5" on the entire squad. I'm gonna throw out a "go big" line up just for fun. PG- Cooper Flagg 6'9" PF- Patrick Ngongba 7' C- Khaman Maulach 7'1" G- Isaiah Evans 6'7" SF- Malik Brown 6'9" Now let's Go small PG- Tyrese Proctor 6'5" G- Caleb Foster 6'5" SF- Isaiah Evans 6'7" PF- Cooper Flagg 6'9" C- Patrick Ngongba 7' I'm actually good with any 5 Sheyer puts on the floor, I don't think there is a "bad" group of 5 you could put together on this team. Hate all you want but all you Duke haters that are fans of teams on Dukes upcoming schedule know that you're already dreading having to play this Duke squad, you should be. It doesn't make you a bad fan but a smart 1 because anyone with any basketball knowledge can see the amount of talent and now also experience on this team. I know if I was say a unc fan(🤢🤮☠️) I would definitely be concerned about this Duke team. Be afraid, be very very afraid 😂🤣😂. Let's Go Duke 🏀💯🔥

The dude is skinny he has tons of skill he’s a future pro but older players in college that are built way bigger have way more experience will know how to bully him. @johnnystivers6788 Aaron Bradshaw came to Kentucky listed at 7'1" 207 lbs, Khaman Maulach is over 40 lbs heavier listed at 250 and his reclassification doesn't really change much for me since he's been player against older players his entire basketball career. Another thing and it's a big 1 is Aaron Bradshaw and Khaman Maulach are totally absolutely completely no doubt about it totally different style players. Bradshaws motor and his size(thin frame) were basically the only 2 major concerns with his game coming out of high school, and he still has the same concerns now. Bradshaw is light on his feet and has a soft touch, can shoot the 3, likes the hook and good with both hands but not built to bang down low with the big guys yet but he has added around 20 pounds being listed at 227 now., Khaman Maulach on the other hand is built completely different and has a strong solid muscular frame coming in listed at 250lbs(and im sure Duke will have him in the weight room getting even bigger and stronger as soon as he sets foot on campus) and has been battling it out in the post against older bigs his entire career. I never said he was gonna come in and dominate the paint, i simply said he won't be pushed around, although I fully believe he will be 1 of the best bigs in college next season. You have your opinion rightfully so but I respectfully strongly disagree that Bradshaw and Maulach are anything alike other than both are/was the top ranked centers in their respective classes, that's the 1 thing I will say is the same about them.

What they don't realize is how great this staff at UCONN is at developing talent. Solo Ball, Jayden Ross, and Jaylin Stewart would have started at most programs. They couldn't get on the floor because it was the best team in 25 years. They will be given free reign next year and each of them have NBA ability. Luke Murray, Kimani Young are head coach good and are paid like it until a high major swoops them up. Moore is the GM. Worked under Calhoun for 13 years so knows how to find talent. Hurley is the best coach in the country right now. It's a great system and I wouldn't be surprised if UCONN three peats. UCONN has four head coach level talent coaching on their staff. Not to mention Calhoun still has an office there as a consultant and Bobby Hurley Sr. Consults who coach K called the greatest coach in his opinion ever at any level.

The same thing happened at UNC last offseason. The lazy commentary put Carolina outside of the Top 15 in the preseason only for them to end up a No. 1 seed in the tournament. Scheyer basically pushed out the softies and brought in proven, physical players who can defend and shoot. Plus the top high school recruiting class by far. Plus returning Proctor, a lockdown defender, and Foster, a trusty backhandler and floor general with an improving stroke. Duke is much better thanks to the turnover.

It isn't some doctrine that says teams with turnover are never successful....lol. It is me saying that given the choice I will take the team with less turnover every time. I would take UNC. Maybe Duke is better but my opinion is I am not sold on the system or the coach based on what I have seen. Please, my opinion is not meant to offend anyone. Just my take based on what I have witnessed 40 years of college basketball. It is not lazy. Don't be so easily offended.
