Great lecture! One thing I‘m not so sure about though, is the notion that price would communicate how much something is worth to someone. Because what you are willing to pay depends very strongly and in some cases entirely on how much money you have, right??

This should help answer your question: kzbin.info/www/bejne/sJyzeJmKer-SqJY A price tag (most of the time) is asking: 'Am I willing to pay n amount for product x GIVEN my budget of y?' It is a question worth asking why we pay n amount for x and y items. This is sort of called the value problem. Why is a bottle of water going for $1 and a diamond thousands? Also, what does a price communicate to you? Start with wants. Compare competitors. Why are coke and Pepsi almost the same price? What do you think would happen if coke increased its price to 10X more than Pepsi?

53:15 "What's possible is the Dr Evil attack... All you'd have to do is erase the blockchain." This is misinformative. A copy of the blockchain is distributed on every node on the network, so all copies would have to be erased at the same time.

I think the concept was to introduce an apparent improvement that would wipe them all at a later date once it had been proliferated.
