I remember going down to Thruxton in 1993 to see Marc Surer in his BMW March, also there was Damon Hill who was supposed to do a few demonstration laps in his Williams, they were unable to get it started due to a software problem. he did return later to do some laps though. also on the bill was one Chris Rea driving a Ferrari 250 LM, belonging to i think, David Piper. he could pedal a bit too. As for his music, i have been to two of his concerts, they were great. what a talent.

HUGE fan of a this HUGE muso talent... Just love his music... I paid R150 for a Morris Minor ('57 model I think)... Bought from a school pal's brother (Andrew Slabolepsky) in 1970...Gave it to my brothers to drive around... Believe it' s still being driven around Cape Town... Don't make 'em like they used to for sure...
