Watching little kids run around and play makes me happy. The thing that stands out to me about the PH is how safe it looks and feels. Love the channel Jay, keep the video's coming.

Dumaguete my future home, 25 months to move there permanently. I can’t wait to raise my FilAm family there. Negros Oriental & Dumaguete is perfect for me, everything I like a need and were Freedom & self Responsibility, family, friendliness, and courtesy rule. Heck only one traffic light in the whole province. Happy you guys going back to visit this fall. Eat some of that seared tuna appetizer at Casablanca on the Blvd for me… it’s delicious. Jay’’s Pizza joint on Rizal someday would be great. Take care

Hi Jay. Just eating my dinner here in Japan. I like the down-to-earth, family-friendly video format. Posting more videos regularly can really help your channel grow. However, it really depends on your priorities and what’s important for you and your family. It’s been an especially busy time for me over here recently. I decided to start growing blueberries, so have been busy adding them to my food forest. Looks like the corn in your neighbor’s field has been harvested. Hand picked? I see lots of dried-up, brown corn stalks now. I’ll be in touch again soon. God bless. David.

No, hand picking here, huge John deere harvesters running around. I'll film some this week. I like the idea of a food forest in Phil's. Love to have alot of my own things to eat. I really want lot of coconuts, making lotions and soap and random things coconut is good for. Blueberries are nice. I'm only one in household who likes them. I'd love a smoothie bar, protein drinks and such with fruits. Be cool to produce alot of your own fruit to sell. I got your email. Be writing back soon. When I think about what you wrote makes it hard to be patient. I've felt that way for over 3 years. It's nice seeing others recognize it also. Be safe and catch you soon. J

Jay I love watching you and your family in both Philppines and USA 🇺🇸 you know I am so thankful my mom and dad brought me to Philppines when I was 12, 14 and 16 then age 50 then after 2nd divorce here in Virginia . I get to live a 2nd lifetime at 57 plan to retire in age 4 62 and hope to find a Filipina for next or last 30 years 90s hehehe. Was born in Philippines brought to usa age 4. Now 57 and want to live in Philppines when I retire. I am always flexible as life unfolds. Keep crushing that shed business. As a CPA the only difference between having money and not having money is money hahaha 😅

Corn is dying back...guessing it's feed corn (drying on the stalk). For most, Phils is a place to visit, maybe even regularly...but most will not choose to live there year round. Channel has been quiet...but like I said before...you can't keep up with this channel on the regular...and have a life, mighty hard. : ) Gonna be some Razel Dazel on the Boulevard to get to 50k by Dec 31! :)

She can study there till college the universities there are cheap but they teach well specially silliman also the bonds and connections she can build in studying there I think is better because universities like Silliman has multi nationality students, but staying for 50 years I don't recommend the number 1 issue of PH is it's economy it is unstable then second one is healthcare if you don't have money you can't get an average health treatment you rather get a poor service in a public hospital and even with that you still need to fork out money to buy medications

First came in 1989, as a 37 year old freelance journalist. Hung out with a cadre of commie guerillas and covered the Gringo coup attempt. Got married and stayed 3 years. We returned for good in '15, about 10 years ago, built a house. When I arrived there were no foreigners but for two Saudi grad students, an old Swiss banker, a one-eyed perpetually drunk Dutchman, a Korean war vet gunrunner and me. Now there are over 5,000 foreigners looking for a second Disneyland lol. I doubt any of the wimps showing up around here now would have lasted very long here 30+ years ago, with no aircon, no McDonald's, protein snacks, etc. Dumaguete is a great place, way, way more crowded now than it used to be. I hope you get out of town once in awhile!

As much complaining as I hear now, I couldn't imagine 30 years ago. Dam, you might be like finding a ancient artifact. Can't be many of you around Duma that has been there since 80s 90s. That's crazy cool. I chose Duma for all the surrounding places as much as Duma itself. Cebu city will be a somewhere we spend alot of time also. Glad to hear from you, hope you are well. I like your word choice in wimps, lol 😆

@@jaysphilippines Cebu city is a drag, unless you're addicted to malls. Get out of "Duma" and yes, thede are a number of us oldtimers still around. But we're by and large out in the sticks, away from other foreigners and have been among Filipibos themselces by and large. Go check out Siquijor. And eastern Mindanao around Cantilan. It hasn't been overrun by the tourists, cement mixers and phonies yet. Or the hills above LaLibertad or around Mabinay. But bring your pistol.
