Fun fact: Jeff Daniels only got paid *$50,000* for playing opposite Jim Carrey, who got paid *$7MIL* for the same movie. Daniels was coming off of serious movies, but wanted to get out of type and play in a comedy. Jim Carrey supported him the whole way, championing him with the producers, even though the studio wanted a known comedian instead of Daniels. Jeff Daniels' own manager didn't want him to take the gig, and the negotiated low-ball offer was meant to dissuade him. Jim Carrey, meanwhile, was on his meteoric rise, having just cashed in on other huge movies, and used his clout to make sure he got to work with Daniels, offering emotional support offscreen. The studio was so down on Daniels that his first scenes were done without Carrey, so they could basically audition him and cut him out if the edits didn't look like they'd work. Carrey told Daniels that he nailed it, though, and the studio finally realized it was going to work with the dynamic duo. And thus their lifelong professional respect for each other was born and history was made.

This kind of reaction blows my mind. Lol. I watched this in the theater and it was the funniest movie of all time when I watched it. Lol. Great reaction vid guys. 👌 Fun fact...Sea Bass is Cam Neely, star of the Bruins at the time. The Farrelly brothers are huge Boston fans.

The guy in the middle has my favorite reactions in this video. (No knock on you or the third guy) 😂 Also, Sea Bass (the trucker) was actually played by Cam Neely, one of the most popular hockey players at the time. And yeah, let's dance! (3:31 and 3:35) 🕺😂

36:09 Lloyd meant to say “rapier wit”, which is an old-fashioned idiom that refers to a type of fencing style where you nimbly dance around your opponent

I love that you guys watched the one with the deleted scenes! Epic movie from my adolescence, thanks for the memories!

Here's a tidbit I just realized- fairly sure it's only a coincidence: @36:25 when he makes the "nice set of hooters" joke, this same joke was made to Teri Garr's character in Young Frankenstein (it's in the form of "what knockers!")... and Teri Garr is who appears at 37:17.

I'm so happy that you guys did a collab reaction on such a classic movie as my brothers and I grew up watching this film and it never get's old. There are some scenes in this film on your reaction video that I had never seen before, such as when Harry takes the toilet and dumps the crap out the window, so it was great to get something fresh out of this despite seeing it so many times. I do believe that the "We landed on the moon." line was improved. I remember watching an interview of Jeff Daniels and he said that Clint Eastwood came up to him and said that he had a similar experience on the toilet.

The peeing scene makes me think about the time I was riding in the back of an armored personnel carrier in a convoy one winter day in Germany. I couldn’t wait any longer,,so I had to hold the back door with one hand to keep it from locking open. As soon as I started peeing, I got a terrible cramp in one leg. The life of an infantry soldier. 😂

i saw this movie when i was a kid hahaha definitely too young. i kept catching jokes i didn’t get when i rewatched it through the years. this movie is very quotable. note: the phrase is a rapier wit, but of course he gets it horribly wrong because he’s dumb 😂. this was a fun reaction, i laughed a lot.
