I'm little bit confused, when you was saying that when people were asking you where they can find more about the game you just shrugged, since there was no such place, but in the photos I saw the URL to the Concerned Joe website, doesn't it counts as one?
@MentalCheckpoint

Traditionally, a "call to action" is a way for a person to get follow up news about the game, so like joining a newsletter or adding the game on their wishlist on steam. The website I had was simply a landing page explaining what the game was about, with none of those things that would be considered "call to action" :)) hence my stupidity...

@@MentalCheckpoint Was this the type of thing you were asked and immediately thought "oh no I'm not ready" and fixed it shortly later, or did the younger you not think that was a problem? It's amazing what we can be missing, especially when it's not directly related to our discipline like marketing.

Same, it was the video about not-as-easy-as-it-seems puzzle where I found out. Then about the lies, and it convinced me that the game had some thought and looked fun. Bought it on switch and it's a great party game, we have tons of fun on it ! My only regret is that there is no full random mode, like random game mode with random mutator until the end. No selection, permanent roulette.

I don't know if you're taking suggestions for video topics, but I would *love* to see a video about making games great for clipping and sharing said clips. A spectator sport, if you will! What comes to mind is Super Smash Bros Ultimate, with its super dynamic screen, and flashy displays when you land a (likely) fatal hit on an enemy. It creates a lot of the hype surrounding the clips that are shared, and it's a lovely reward for players who played really well! This video was incredibly insightful, thank you for letting us in behind the scenes and sharing this story! Love your channel, I've been here since your first video if I recall correctly! :)

I love how you just setup shop on a random table that was empty. I did kinda the same at the only anime convention I went to. *Uh oh rando story time* I happened to be in the middle of my 2nd year college project and the build I had pushed to GIT for my small team broke. So I found a table that was empty and pulled out my laptop to quickly fix it. I was and am a workaholic and always keep my laptop ready. But while I was fixing it and trying to use my mobile hotspot to push the new fixed build; people noticed me playing the game to test it. And were asking if I was showcasing it. I told them "Yeah! Wanna play" basically and got some feedback for the team. Gotta plug where you can plug

If you put the same amount of dedication that you've put into marketing your game, into fixing the game's bugs, that would be great. It's got around 10 major bugs (maybe more) going on for years. For some of them I wouldn't be quick to blame you because they could be difficult fixes (e.g. Shuriken Parry always crashing), but for others I'm sure that they are easy fixes, speaking as a fellow programmer (e.g. wrong advertised available slots in game browser, and generating invisible red tiles over existing red tiles in speed run when playing with lethal leaps). You should really check on what your devs are doing. They add new items, and half a year later these items may still have wrong descriptions. Or they sloppily remove the game's chat, they introduce even more bugs by doing that, they don't even inform the customers who've already paid for that feature, and they leave unused options in the game's settings. In short, it seems that they don't even open the game after programming a change in it. You know - to check for results, problems and whatnot.

Hiding the "rocket" ships is probably something I wouldn't do unless I had a whimsical and fun game, like yours, so I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Maybe I would've picked something closer to my heart than "rockets" though lol

The rocket thing is definitely something I would do, though I would definitely make sure the hidden object was relevant to the theme of either the game in question, or a related game. I'm not sure what a rocket has to do with Concerned Joe/Move or Die, but then again I've played neither of them.

That app is IMO a really genius way to market a game!! It would have been interesting if you could have eventually expanded it so that via like Bluetooth or something it can sense if it is near another player, and when player 1 goes boom it could cause a reaction for player 2? Anyways, too bad it made potential players move away from your booth… XD
