I have had these for several weeks kzbin.infoUgkxP26Tir6n60vUkdtn4mbwhRO8cwuJQNy2 and I have been really happy with them so far. I love being able to do a variety of workouts at home when I don't have time to make it to the gym. When paired with a basic bench, there are tons of different exercises and you can hit pretty much all major muscle groups. It is easy to adjust to your desired weight with the dials on each side. They slide in and out of the cradle smoothly. The only downside to this design vs the newer version, is that these are pretty wide. This does limit your range of motion with certain hand positions on certain exercises. Straight dumbbell press would be an example of this. I have to turn my hands slightly in order to bring them close enough together. Not a huge deal to me though. Really happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend.

Thank you for this Erin. I am at home because of quarantine with no sign of gyms opening in the UK. I want to go into a 'build' having been in a deficit for a number of months and am looking to develop my legs and glutes. So I will try this workout very helpful.

Thanks Erin! This has been exactly what I've been looking for. There are a lot of dumbbell workout videos out there, but most of them concentrate on arms and upper body. Your's goes into more detail on legs than any other I've seen. Especially noteworthy was the thigh curls and also the hack (slide) squats. The DB leg curl is GENIUS! I don't have a leg curl machine at my home gym, but I do have a full set of DB and a nice BB rack with bench. So this exercise is perfect!

Awesome --I always work out at home and almost always with dumbbells (once or twice a week with barbell since I found you). My favourite dumbbell lower body exercises are suitcase squats, deadlifts and calf raises. Thank you for this circuit

Thank you Erin, for demonstrating the hack squat and leg curl and for points to remember from the introduction. The only videos I have come across for the hack squat uses a machine. I read about the leg curl using a dumbbell, but the IG video I have seen is done on the floor. I prefer the versions as how you demonstrated them. I now know I can use the dumbbells, too. You also mention some very important key points in the intro that are easy to miss in other videos or how they gloss over the details. Those points have sunk in to my mind this time, and I know I will remember them better as I do the reps.

I did it. The hike up a mountain with an extra 30 lbs in my pack was intense. I loved this "home" workout at the top of hanging rock . . .overlooking an amazing storm in the distance and miles and miles of green landscape. I only got through three sets of everything before it was getting dark and close to park closing time. I had to book it back out . . .ya know trying to avoid any park rangers having to look for me. Next time I'll do this in the early am. #winning

This is a awesome video. I added this as a home workout day. The only thing is my heavier dumbbell is only 10lbs. I will try to do high reps, concentrate on form and do some pauses.

For the heel elevated hacksquat, I do a variation: I use the wooden plank mounted on semi-circles (not the half balloon). Standing on it with weights in my hands, I first find my balance, then try to squat at least 15 times without the plank touching the ground on either side. This works simultaneously my balance, my abs, my glutes, my hamstrings and my quads.

Favorite dumbbell exercise is pullover,but have since started alternating with cable pullovers.Erin,I noticed that you use the smith machine a lot which I love have one in my home gym.Glad to see someone who uses it instead of bashing it.

Awesome tips, Erin. Just want I needed after returning to lifting (I worked with a trainer until June 2018; now working on my own). You already corrected an error I made with the sumo DL. 🤦♀️ And, I'm glad you showed me that I can do the hammie curl by myself. I thought I needed assistance lifting the dumbbell!!! It's my favorite way to work the hammies. Thanks. 💪😬

Doin this tomorrow! My favorite with dumbbells is bench press, dead lifts, squats, biceps curls, tricep kick backs, the list is endless! I'm so addicted to it all! I'm a workout, lifting junky!!! I just wish I seen results in my lower body as fast as I see it in my upper body. I'm still getting in shape to get in shape.y worst enemy is, I don't eat as clean as I should. I eat clean-ish! Hahaa!!!

I love these workouts. Short videos with great explanations. I love the variety as I often can’t think of options on the fly at the gym if a machine is being used or I’m getting stale. But, not gonna lie I have to watch the clip twice because I get distracted by the other folks working out! 🤣
