I hope I say it right but a pleiah the one ballerina would do because works inner thigh for one. Then the one balancing on one leg at a time that you showed during Covid with the milk jugs. And I love the old hulk Hogan one I think it was were you stand straight and back bending your knees holding on as you go down and hold just to name a few. Your the best.❤️😇💃

Super helpful! I like you have long femurs and short torso. It’s great you suggest exercises which take into consideration your lever points. I’ve found lunges also help build my glutes and single leg strength incredibly.

My top three leg exercises would be back squats, forward leg-emphasis lunges, and deadlifts. I have a short torso, very long limbs, narrow hips (for a woman), and extreme flexibility. I was told (by a PhD sports scientist) that goblet squats are inferior for glute strength and mass, because the limiting factor is your forearm strength. Back squats are better for your knees (told by an Orthopedic Surgeon MD and PhD Physical Therapist) and you are able to progressively overload to a higher load on your back. Nordic curls are okay, but deadlifts are better for hamstrings, because you can progressively overload more easily by lifting a barbell than with a weight belt, holding a plate, or having someone place a plate on you. Not everyone has access to a Nordic curl machine, especially those of us who workout at home.

hii how do you recommend setting up your lunges? Like do you prefer dumbbells and do you step backwards or stay in a split squat? Thanks!

Nordic curls look like a great exercise one can do at home. Thanks for the suggestion. And so on point about not focusing on the scale. Especially if one is actually serious about building muscle in the right places.

When performing go let squats does the way you hold the dumbbell really matter? It is much more comfortable on my hands to hold my dumbbell parallel to the floor.

Hi Erin, I love all your videos and I have been following you for 10 years. I learned many variations exercises from you. I am 60 yo now and still always trying to correct tge form or add new things. Thank You for providing such informative channel. For me the 3 basics are any of the squat variations including ball squat, RDL kickbacks. My biggest problem is that i overuse glutesand have problem to engage quads and I really detest any one legged exercise and always tend to shift the weight on glutes. When I used to do figure competition i was told by judges tgat my quads were under developed. Just like you said the way we are built often determines the type of exercise we favor. I was never a fan of quad concentration exercises such as leg extentions.....but I still did them.

the goblet squat really helps me with balance when squatting but I find it makes my elbows ache. I can only go heavy with a back barbell. Any tips?
