Another great thing about this round, Koji was FLABBERGASTED because he thought that none of his imposter buttons worked... when in reality, he had morphed into DK and thought it didn't work because they were wearing the exact same outfit, and then tried to kill DumbDog but couldn't because he was shielded. Absolutely love that Hafu got the Amnesiac scan into remembering a killer, it's such a cool game mechanic and additional thing to keep in mind when it comes to med-bay hard clears. Also loved the edit with Janet remembering you doing the same thing to her, great video!!

@@WaterAndEarthGirl Yeah, Courtilly was in an unfortunate situation there, she had no winning option. Like Dumbdog said at the end screen "I mean, it's right. It's just also wrong." I think that the only way crew could've saved it after the quad-kill, was if someone pointed out that Dumbdog had killed Ellum, and not misfired on Hafu. Only three people could've seen this happen, being Hafu, Junk, and Yinsu, all of which were evil (and also probably didn't even realize that had happened, note Hafu's shock at realizing she was imposter), so even if any of them had seen it, only Yinsu had an incentive to point it out, which would've probably resulted in her loss. Absolutely crazy game, love to see the chaos that can ensue with so many different mechanics at play!!

She was trying to take DumbDog’s role by making him shoot her… it’s a selfish play that could’ve backfired. Imagine she succeeds, then Ellum kills her in that furball, or she misfires herself? Forcing DD to shoot her just to take Sheriff, and then misfire herself would waste the role and puts crew down 2 players. It’s a bad play… and like I said, it’s a selfish one. As it happens she lucked out and got Impostor, and used a bad game mechanic to her advantage (Amnesiac med scanning has already caused problems, Janet was almost in tears in the game that DD did the same thing).

With the limited crew vision they all want to see what happens with DD, but potentially they accidentally get in his way (or in Hafu’s case, deliberately… and dare I say selfishly), and get shot themselves instead of letting DD go on his terms. Also, those players with vision still didn’t see what happened because it was a fustercluck.

Courtilly had Hafu completely figured out with the amnesiac med scan, but because Hafu is much more assertive, her truth would never be believed. Honestly Hafu's greatest strength is how assertive she is because she really gives herself away otherwise (tone, inflection, her exasperation, etc) when she is lying.

I think this is downplaying her. She's also good at spinning what crewmates see into something believable and THEN asserting that. Junk saw Dumbdog explode near Hafu and her asserting that he tried to sheriff her clears her from being amnesiac since amnesiac is only immune to sheriff shot before taking a role. What Junk saw could believably be what Hafu explained and it's a more likely scenario than the amnesiac one. Court also being there despite her suspicions couldn't refute this which is why she didn't assert herself. Normally being assertive in these lobbies is a tell because of vision size since the only way you can really be confident in what you see is if you have imp vision; however, Hafu always tends to be relatively assertive and confident even as a crew which makes it harder for them to be sure. She would've said the same thing and spoken the same way had she been crew most likely since from her perspective it wouldve actually looked like a sheriff misfire by dumbdog on her. (EDIT: in town of us amnesiac doesn't die to sheriff shot BUT they only really had suspicion on Hafu for killing the first body since the dumbdog death was clearly a sheriff misfire or arso kill, so it still clears her from their perspective as she would've already had to have become a killer from koji's body earlier in the game where she couldn't have been. Theoretically, if courtilly deduced both that ellum is the killer and that Hafu was spamming amnesiac ability for some reason, then she could've figured it out but this scenario is VERY unlikely so it's not something that a good player who weighs all the options like her would suggest first, it kind of all just rolled into Hafu's favor.) **THIS is why courtilly deduces at the very end that "Dumbdog wasn't sheriff right?" since the scenario that actually happened was so unlikely that her only logical conclusion was that Dumbdog was bad and Hafu took his role instead of taking the role of the person who died immediately before him.**

Nah. Hafu just had good excuse thus time. There was an arson and Dd sheriff hafu. If hafu was amnesiac, she would steal the sheriff, also junk was dedending hafu. Dd, 5up, and the other big brains would doubt hafu if she didn't get a good excuse. Even when she is being very assertive, if she messed up, there have been games where she still lose.

I really like courtily as a player she z smart with the game... She can rival the other big brains in this lobby

She’s similar to DumbDog in the sense that she’s smart and figures things out, which is tailor made for how the morning lobbies play, but she also has a chaotic and fun side to her, which is what she’s used to as she plays with Chilled and Junk a lot. DumbDog is the same… he can outsmart the biggest brains in these lobbies (ie Hafu and 5up), but he brings a level of fun and chaos when he plays in Chilled/Junk lobbies. It’s a shame a lot of other players don’t translate well from one style to the other. Junk is a good example, he plays the morning lobby way too similar to how he plays his own/Chilled lobbies and gets found out very quickly. Hafu and 5up are the opposite side of that coin, they are very serious with AU and that doesn’t translate well into those other lobbies. I will say, I’m surprised Court didn’t get her final 2 tasks done, she was on 8/10 for a few rounds… she would’ve figured out that Hafu had taken Ellum’s role once she completed her tasks. She would still lose as she was stuck between an Imp and an Arso, but potentially she figures out they are both bad and skips to let them go 1v1 for a bit of fun.

The chance of both imposters being cultists was 9.09%; the chance of the arsonist being cultist was 20%. The chance that none of the cultists had a killing role was 25.45% (8/12) * (7/11) * (6/10).

I feel like you need to turn tasks off for Amnesiac, if that’s an option… people are getting cleared via medscan and then taking impostor/neutral killer roles, it’s not a fair clear. Other lobbies (Chilled, Junk, Himi) aren’t strict about doing tasks so it doesn’t matter, but in this lobby it’s game winning.

feel like the assumption that med scan should always be a 100% unassailable clear makes for less fun gameplay. introducing a small bit of uncertainty with a known yet fringe mechanic makes for some very unique and interesting games and encourages a little more Amnesiac speculation by crew and imps (where rn it's mostly ignored by everyone as a relevant possibility).

There was one that had 5 Imps… an Amnesiac, an Executioner who’s target died made them Amne, and a Guardian Angel who’s VIP died so they became Amne, they all picked up the same body, and that happened to be an Imp, leading to all 3 of them becoming Imps too (Sidearms, Jeremy and I think Speedy were the Amnesiacs, I can’t remember who the actual Imps were) “Bois nite!” They changed the settings not long after that to only allow Imp/neutral to be picked up once, and anyone after that becomes Survivor.

Maybe there could be a setting that Amne has half as many tasks, and none of them visual/confirmable, so if they take a crew role they have some tasks done (no point them doing 10 tasks as they should really be seeking out a body to take a role from), and if they take a non-crew role they haven’t done a confirmable task that could clear them.

I've rewatched this clip several times and I still don't understand how DumbDog died. Hafu thought he had sheriffed her and that's why he died but she was clearly wrong because he correctly sheriffed Ellum. But during DumbGog's death cutscene it looked like Yinsu was the one that killed him but I thought the arsonist couldn't kill. What am I missing here???
