All other TRJM's review are.....pretty bad. So i wonder if the Boss TAE modifies a bit the sound of this pedal/preamp??? Am i totally wrong? Hi Sasha, i just orderd the Peace Hill TRJM. My current amp does not have an FX loop. Considering getting the V4 Sheriff or the Laney LA Studio. Do you think either of those would work well for the peace hill? If not, any other suggestions?

I saw a picture of somebody's rig where there was both a SSS and a TRJM in the chain, I presume this is so they could switch between the two? Is there any good reason to do this, and if so can you bypass the SSS if playing through the TRJM, or vice versa?

These look even better than the Victory stuff. Really different I know, but for my needs these would pair perfectly with my Freyette Powerstation 100. I see you have grest results with the Tube amp expander. My next question is where the heck do you find these?

Killer player, truly! But what is that strat. What pickups. Those tones are familiar top shelf in every video through every pedal.

Man, that Strat is special. I had Van Zandts in it before and it was LOUD. Like P90 loud. So when I sold my red Strat I swapped pickups. Put a set of very subtle Sunbears in it. Guess what? It was still LOUD. I think it's two times louder than my Maxwell Strat, which is super resonant as well. Easily matches my Panucci '59 hollowbody in volume. And I haven't got a clue what it is. Everything in the electronics is boring about it, 250k pots, normal cap. But it screams and sings. It's crazy.

A real eye-opener, this video (well, ear-opener), can't stop watching it. It's on my shopping list since I have a TAE as well. The intriguing bit: if this used to be your main rig, Sasha, what replaced it as your primary amp? The Silktone or another pedal format?

It doesn’t really matter what it replaces tbh! With the TAE you can make it as loud or gentle as you want. I found that the SSS works best with the TAE

Yes! It’s killer! A 100 watt power amp is about as clean as you can get and that’s where these preamps thrive best

These preamps actually prefer a very clean power amp. Plug it into the fx loop return of the cleanest guitar amp you can get. Or whatever power amp you can get your hands on. I got fantastic results with the boss TAE alone

These are preamp only if I’m not wrong and I would need a power amp or a Cab Sim to make it work, right? The tone that comes from them is amazing, do you know if there’s a place where I can get one of these in Europe or I have to order it on the website? With shipment and taxes it would be a bit too expensive for me. Thanks!

Nice one man! I got a Joyo American Sound amp sim in 2020 because I desperately needed an option to clean up my rig at that point in time. I was playing through a Yamaha B100 Bass Head (a ridiculously cheap 70's bass head I got from an old guy that builds custom speaker cabs here in Barbados. He claims he lived a few blocks away from the location Hendrix died in 1970, so he claims....). I ran that head through two Klipsch KG4 stereo cabs from 1984. As you can imagine, the tone is horrible, unless you want to sound like an early budget proto-metal band, hahaha. So now you understand my interest in amp sims or 'amp in box' effects as you put it. Any suggestions for making it sound as decent as possible? You must excuse me Sasha, I'm still a novice when it comes to the technicalities of guitars, hahaha! PS: That intro jam was sick!!

Hahaha man, yes. I understand that would sound horrible. Well there are a lot of solutions out there that would sound great through those Klipsch speakers. Even with a hifi amplifier. Like Strymon Iridium or DSM Simplifier. Maybe even this, I don't know. The Peace Hill stuff just needs a good power amp and a cab. If you can get your hands on a high wattage transistor combo or head with fx loop and use this as a preamp into the fx loop return it would sound incredible.

I used to use the Joyo American Sound for a long time it really does make any amp sound like you need it to. I only stopped using regularly because I found an amp I like. I still use it on solid state amps. It is awesome

Really different devices. This needs something after it. The Simplifier can go straight to interface or FOH. As for dynamics and acceptance of pedals I’d go for one of these. For simplicity and an all in one solution a Simplifier would be the way to go.

Lol don't fall for this. I bought the TRJM and it really sucks. Sounds nothing like what it does in this video. I don't know what kind of shenanigans are going on here, but you'll be sorely disappointed if you buy this pedal. Tried it into several power amps and even directly into the front of a couple of amps. Same BS. I ended up selling it and got a Vertex Steel String Supreme instead. It's not a miraculous pedal, but it sounds 10 times better than this garbage. Don't make my mistake and fall for this.

These pedals aren’t made to run into amps. Even into power amps they will not sound like this but it will be better than in front of the amp. You will need a cab sim and a very clean solid state power amp (like the TAE I used or an FRFR speaker) to get the results I got. Or just a cab sim and an interface if you wanna record. There are no shenanigans. I just plugged them in into the TAE fx loop return.
