There are too many glorifying the biz as get rich quick easy. The number of newbs that went all in , in the last several years will be crushed when the recession sets in deep. It slows to a crawl in the winter every year. No amount of advertising will get the same results as in the warmer 8 months of the year. We run 12-14 hour days 8 months out of the year and 20-40 hr weeks in the winter spending some of that time getting trucks and equipment ready for busy season. I’ve learned over the years to bank $ for the slow times of year. It’s the nature of this biz in a colder climate.
