I am done. Over the past two days, I have hauled over a ton of scrap to my local yard, made just over $200US, and I am out of the scrap game. I don’t have a truck. I am old and I hurt. I need a “real” job, i.e., one that can pay my bills. But I won’t stop watching this channel. Trash panda 4 lyfe! Good luck, and just know, even if I am not commenting, I am still subbed and watching. Keep doing the thing, y’all!!!

All that being said, you can't please every single person all of the time. You keep being your awesome self and I will continue to support your channel and watch every video, cause I just really enjoy your personality.

Thanks so much! There’s all kinds of videos I intend to do but my focus will always be seeking to create value for the audience in some way. Sometimes that might be researching something I find interesting and sharing it in a fun way, maybe trying to answer a question, or even 30-50min of cruising around with curiosity and a sense of adventure.

Great job thub! I used to work in a 24 hr gas station in Eastern Washington, we changed some tires, we were always pulling tires off of rims and installing them, so when I see you using a saw I kind of wince at your efforts. You might want to go down to a tire store that does on the road tire changes and get a ride along and learn how to quickly change tubeless tires or just suck up to them and get an intro to changing tires w/o a machine. Those guys know how to change tires in snow, rain, night etc... it'll save you some labor!.. Yeah, right, like you have spare time to do that.. Again, Great job! I always enjoy your vids!

I felt that trip --> Smashed / cut finger. Just a couple of weeks ago I was unloading my previous days dumpster dive out of the back of my truck, and I was stupidly wearing flip flops. Well, the flip flop got caught on something and I ended up falling out the back of my truck and the BBQ I was unloading fell on top of me. Smacked my head pretty good and got a wicked gash on my knee but that was it (luckily). Definitely put me in a sour mood for a while though. Hope you heal up quick! Best of luck getting your truck fixed! You were one of the OG channels I watched a couple of years back that got my wife and I into scrap metal / dumpster diving! Last year we dumpster dove enough scrap to buy a truck, and this year we are having an absolute blast with it and started our own little channel!

Less than 3k subs to go, Thub! I don’t think I’ve ever been happier to see someone hit the 100k sun mark! You deserve it too, bro! Cleaning the Earth up and all- I even enjoyed the tree planting vids- for some reason I came across one on here a while back and watched a bunch 😂 but it’s wild to see how much you can actually clean an area up just recycling metal AND you get to make money while doing it! Also, pretty wild to see how much metal you’ve gotten rid of that would have just ended up in the landfill instead! You’re gonna get that 100k VERY VERY SOON! Happy as hell for you!

And i hope u hit 100k very very soon, I say less than 2 wks man! Hey i have a question, how can i tell if my scrapyard is not giving me right prices? I'll bring in iron, steel ,cast iron, etc. And all they'll give me is tin category, is that right?
@thubprint Жыл бұрын
Thanks for hanging around! It’s been a journey, gone through a few chapters now and learned a lot. As far as your prices it really comes down to whatever the scrapyard is going to pay, if it’s all shred as far as they’re concerned there’s not much that can be done. Cast iron is a bit less than shred for me and brake rotors are a little more, and most yards around me don’t pay more for prep (which is why I go to the one I do). I guess you’d better just ask them but it probably averages out to the same most of the time. The prep and rotors are the only ones I’d be annoyed about if you get a fair bit of those
