That was such a sweet and sincere gesture of her and the other ladies sitting beside her at his grave site. My step son passed away a while back and yes it's very hard. I know I just couldn't help it, by the end I was a blubbering mess, I wanted to give a big hug to the boys mom as well. I can't imagine the pain a parent must go through after losing a child. I love how Patty is so strong and celebrates Gary's life in such beautiful ways and always makes sure to keep his memory alive.

Omar, You just brought me to tears with this video !!! My oldest boy is buried in Oklahoma and my youngest is in McKinney and I'm smack dab in the middle. Now that I'm disabled and older it is getting harder to go as much as I would like to. But you brought up a good point, all the things I have put on my boy's graves have wound up in the dumpster and it truly breaks my heart !!! if your ever in San Antonio... go the haunted railroad. A bus full of kids was hit by train there in the 20’s (I think) and if you stop your car near the tracks the childrens spirits push your car over the tracks. its pretty cool.

Omar, I lost my mom 2yrs ago and it's still hits me hard. Especially if it's a song or movie she liked. I can't he through the whole movie of The Wizard of Oz without crying my eyes out. The flowers, toys etc are removed so the lawns can be maintained. Mowing is done with bigger equipment than the average person uses. The ornamentation would tbe knocked over and destroyed. Causing more time for clean up and hazards left​ behind in the grass and the roadways. If you have something you want on a gravesite check with maintenance find out what day that section is maintained and pick up your memorial. Replace it afterwards. But this must be done to the cemeteries schedule. As far as the metal boxes used in burial are to protect the grave when another grave is dug next to it. Again large equipment is used the liner protects the coffin from being disturbed.

At the start of the blog I really felt that feel when you got to the cemetery!! and tbh I never felt so much till I saw this and it's crazy how life can take away someone you love so dearly and not be there the next day, but having the ones who love you most around your rest beds what made me very emotional and I couldn't imagine how I could handle it. I'm so happy to see patty and being such as strong woman I love that about her! I love your vids tbh just so real and shows so much keep it up Omar !! :)

Omar, I used to work for a cemetery. People have to remove them to mow, edge around them. It's the law in some states that they throw them away. Unless the family gives them certain instructions. Also, some people get upset when they find there stuff on someone elses's grave. I totally agree with you that's wrong. But, our cemetary puts them in a room so that the people can come and get them. Just thought you should know.

yes cemetery explained that the graves cleaned often at moms service. I lost mom to cancer at 69 years young. Very hard. Prayers to you and fam not only loss of Gary but Mike too. I pray for you daily. hugs always to all of you.
