The more of these videos I watch, the more I realize how bad the garbage situation is. We’re a society based on consumption, and we’re drowning in our own excess. Hindsight, being the 20/20 that it is, we should be recycling at least 90% of everything we use. Thank goodness there are people like this, who help to take up the slack, some of it anyway, of those who are either too lazy or too unaware of the situation. They deserve our thanks.

So much for those monitors (I think I counted 15), but Mike certainly knows where the money is, he finds monitors practically daily, but this was almost a once in a lifetime score. It couldn’t happen to a better guy! I wish I lived in Houston, just to help strip the wires. I’m disabled and there’s not much I can do, but as long as I had breaks from sitting too long (and a whole bunch of other restrictions) I would love to feel like I was doing something productive and contributing to society. Having Mike as my boss (technically I’d be volunteering) would be the best part, his sense of humor and compassion for others (and the furry ones) is amazing! 💜 MTS

I though filter as well. The brown-ness of them made me think some kind of oil filter, but some of them are still very white. So they could be air filters for some sort of machinery. Considering whats always in the dumpsters at this place, and how huge the building is, my guess would be filters for industrial machinery of some kind. Probably just did scheduled maintenence and that's why there's a thousand of them.
