In a nutshell, I ‘m an avid dumpster diver, scrapper, picker, treasure hunter and underwater connoisseur. I prowl the city streets in search of dumpster loot, curbside treasures & scrap metal as well as scour the river bottoms for lost valuables during the summer months when I can scrounge up enough money for gas. Mike, if you find extra nice pieces of wood just take them hom😅e to use later. I have been married since 1977 and I can not tell you how many times my husband uses pieces of wood that we have moved from home to home. He can remember where they came from and usually a story is associated with it! He built our home, now at 74 he is working on our little summer place in Montana! A garage will be his next project!

Was thinking, Mike usually seems to enjoy the work he does...always finds the sunny side of things. Mike seemed especially happy at the end of this run. Good for you Mike...I am sure, as with all days at work we have good and not so good...this day Mike seemed especially bright and cheery. Yesterday we scored on a aluminum jet ski dock. There's a little bit of wooden it,but there's alot of aluminum on it. Can't wait to see what that brings. We scored it in the Ritch neighborhood, from a house that's on a lake.there were 2 parts to it. You wouldn't believe it. A woman came out and helped us load it on our truck. That woman had muscles like the Rock Dwayne Johnson. Talk about a strong woman. I really need to get a camera or a Go Pro!!!

Hey Mike! You know what I've never seen on any scrappers video? You know communication wire, it looks like cat5e, but has three times as many wires inside the outer insulation? Those & other wires like it have a white nylon string running through the inside with the other wires. If you cut into the outer insulation 6", and start pulling on the nylon string, you can use that to strip through the outer stuff. Much quicker than a wire stripper or blade!
