Hey it happens, we all need a job and you're not to blame ! It's the policy they have in place . They can still get a write off for donating so I'm just confused as to why they DONT . When Marshall's first opened,the designer clothes and all the rest,would come to them with the label tags cut out,that way people could not return them to the designer stores! Easier to cut out labels the cut up the whole thing!

I want to learn how to dumpster dive. My husband and I are newly weds and unfortunately money is tight so we are not able to decorate our home. For Christmas I went to the thrift shop to get all of our Christmas decorations and everything looks awesome. Wish I was brave enough to go to the dumpster 😊

Congrats 🎉 👩‍❤️‍👨 I've been dumpster diving for about 5+ years. When I first started I used to go two times a day to the stores of my I would go one time after they opened and one time right after they closed. I would also go pretty much every day until I narrowed down trash days and treasure days. I started writing down the days that I would score treasures and I would also write down the days that the trash man came and picked up the trash. I built my own schedule just from doing that and narrowed it down. Once you narrow it down you can score huge almost regularly.

On the Cut clothes. Cut the unicorns out in a square. Get a plain white tee. Use fusible web and iron the unicorns on the tee. . The cute fabric on pants and blouses make cute hair bows, doll clothes, hair scrunched, head bands, belts, cloth ornaments , pillow and quilt squares. Even if you don't sew. Put them on Marketplace as free and offer suggested uses. A person who craft sews will use them.

Yeah I legit have so much stuff I have to be super picky about what i take now . When I first started I used to take all the items that were broken in hopes I could restore them or find something to do with them . But they just sat . Sat waiting to be worked on and collected dust and took up space ( legit felt like a hoarder at one point )

My 11yr old absolutely LOVES going and helping although I think she enjoys our 🍟 stop more 😂. Can you give me advice please, I’m in a different state than you but do you have any recommendations or tips for someone who’s starting out, like what are the best time of day or days to check the dumpsters?

So when I started I would go 2x a day . You need to figure out what stores you want to go to . And INVEST in the time of you want to score . I literally went for a week straight am and pm and narrowed it down that way . So I'd pay attention to if there was trash , what it looked like daytime vs nighttime, made notes of empty day and days I scored. Once I figured out the important things ( times and days ) you can score huge .

WOW!! It always amazes me just the amount of great stuff yall get out of the dumpsters . I'd be jumping into those pillows.. love them and Lilly waa having such a great time getting all of the goodies from the dumpsters. I love it ❤ 💙 💜 💖 But, all of those kids clothes being destroyed really enraged me 😤😤😠😠😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Those greedy POS could've donated them. There is so many kids that need them. Grrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!! Okay. YESSSSS all the clothes broke my heart . It hurt to see them in the trash but then ALL CUT UP TOO 🙄😭 this store has been known to destroy but hasn't been in awhile !! So Im assuming someone got caught because that's usually why they start destroying so bad 🤷‍♀️ But the pillows and the summer time items 😁😁 my sister and I are set for the kiddos . Can't wait to let violet play in the little splash pad 😊😊 and Lilli was like "mom let me get it" so of course we threw her on in hahah she just loves grabbing things , mainly because she knows she gets first dibs (before I can say no) 😂 Thanks for watching Michelle 🥰 hugs from us

Yeah some Burlington here where I'm at in Texas destroy but some don't , I guess it just depends on who is "destroying" the items 🤷‍♀️or they act as if they do and don't really idk but I get lucky sometimes. It's a shame they make y'all destroy items 😢

I was HEARTBROKEN they destroyed so many clothes . I mean some could have been saved MAYBE if you are a seamstress. Which I am not 😂 even a basic stitch I suck at. Very sad they decided to not only trash but also ✂️ them to shreds . Thanks for watching Pamela 🥰

Ehhh they could simply cross out the barcode so it can't be scanned back in , there are other ways to stop people from doing that . We won't return the clothes instead I have 3 girls that could wear some of those items and we also donate and resell at garage sales . I have ALOT of people that buy items from me at super cheap and send them over to Mexico . Thanks for watching 🥰

I have before but it's a hassle. The women's shelter I found closest to me wanted brand new items still in package. Most of the items I find are missing something and sometimes the package is damaged . With so many requirements to donate to places like that I just found it easier donating to a community pantry . And if I have to do all that non damaged stuff we take to the children's hospital bc my daughter was there for 8+ months

I donate to a children's hospital 🏥 one that my daughter was inpatient at for several months , and we also donate to a community box in a local neighborhood that is a refugee community. The hospital donation video can be found in my reels and I have a couple videos of me dropping items off to the community pantry in my videos ☺️ other than that we give things to friends, and family and then we sell some items as well . thanks for watching 🥰
