Thanks Terry! This is gonna be a fun project for me once the weather stays warm. Gotta start crankin' out those tumblers!!! Showing ALL the steps is soooo crucial too, which is something a LOT of YTs don't do. Also, showing the measurements IN the video instead of "in the description below" is VERY important. Can't count the number of videos I've watched that do that, so THANKS!!

Thanks Duncan, as usual a hilarious and informative tutorial!!! Some things I've learned that work is screws in all the fittings to prevent slide out. Compression fittings will become loose over time. Even pvc cement give out so the screws prevent slide 100%. I use the nylon 1/2" male thread to 3/8" barb instead of the pvc fitting on the motor without the brass fitting. It's a tight fit and requires some heat to get it started. I also use couplings (screwed on not just glued) inside and outside of the front hole that is just a bit smaller than the fitting diameter but still fits the 1/2" pvc through it. The challenge is getting everything straight without binding and making noise so I'm not sure that's the best solution to prevent wobble. Thank goodness for WD40. LOL

We are having a problem getting the arms straight...we bought the 1/2 inch adapter at Lowe’s and the brass piece has wiggle room-it must be different dimensions from what you have on Amazon. When I set the brass piece on the rim on the adapter the hole was too high to drill it into the adapter...

I don't know how much purchase (grip) you need internally on your tumbler holders, but here are some ideas that may or may not work; - drill brush (basically toilet brush with hex shank). The bristles will probably flatten over time unless you can get something high quality. - a "glass scrubber".. Good quality ones are used for a long time in bars and clubs before needing replacing, so should hold up pretty good. Don't know if they will be wide enough though. - assorted sizes of "pipe bungs" - a small pipe with Velcro on it, then neoprene rubber with the other Velcro on it. Wrap neoprene rubber onto Velcro pipe. Add/remove layers as required. - replace rotating motor with clothes dryer. Cut out door. Insert child and have them hold their hand outside of the dryer. Insert tumbler over child's hand. Turn on dryer to rotate child.

Ok so first you are my favorite go to guy when I need knowledge!! Thank you for all your advice!! Secondly, I’m going to build this box but I do have a question. I went to the supply list on Amazon to order I noticed you have two sets of motors listed. One with arms and one without. I want to be able to easily remove my arms to paint, glitter or manipulate the epoxy on my tumbler then place back and start turning again. Right now I have 2 turners I purchased from Amazon premade of course. Both have the aluminum arms that screw to the motor mount so without tools and all that I can’t remove them.
