I must say that I like the way that this movie presents the career of The Osmonds with the backdrop of all the politial and social upheaval that was happening at the time. I very much recall it like that.

I've been a fan since I first saw them on Wonderful World Of Disney when Donny was about 11 or 12. Watching this movie, my heart broke seeing some of the things they went thru trying to make the rest of us Happy. ❤😥

This is a beautiful family, love how humble they are, never got a chance to see themin concert so busy chasing the Jackson five ,I wish they could perform in New York citybut every time the Osmond perform I always miss them in the city, I watch all theirTV specials ,very talented family, they are bless to have that gift from god ,and the reason they respected their wife is because they have strong bible principles , they havesuch love and respect for one another, I never hear negative things from the media,I saw them on the Vicky Lawrence show years ago, and I just saw on you tube and theyexpress their love for their family ,it is true what they said family is first ,they were not greedy for money ,they love to give their fans the best performance they can, I admiredthem their will never be another Osmond family love........................you .

Fame and fortune don't matter, having your family by your side through life's troubles is the greatest reward anyone can ask for, The familial love and a strong faith have carried the OSMOND'S through life's adversities. Glad your still around, great film.

@pattyken1 Merrill has suffered with health problems for many years. He is diabetic and has suffered strokes. He also suffered with depression from quite young. Considering all of this, makes you realise just how talented and dedicated he really is.

My husband and I went to see Donny and Marie’s king running show at The Flamingo in Vegas 10 1/2 years ago. It was fabulous and it was obvious why their show had won best Vegas Show. They are older than my husband and I are, but their stamina was amazing. They were full on dancing and moving on the stage and they didn’t get out of breath. Their voices were still gorgeous. It’s clear that they have a work ethic that was instilled by their parents and they are just full on pros and real stars. They have dealt with trials in their lives but they haven’t let them destroy them. They have stuck together and love and support each other.

Memories:They had concert tours around the world without Merrill.In 1980 in Bangkok, Thailand I met Alan at the airport and asked where Merrill was.I knew only that he was so painful with his knees that he could not come.Poor Merrill I understand now and also for Donny why he sadly smile while he was signing his name on my record.This movie brings me to tears.

I was at three of the concerts in London at Drury Lane in 1980. I met Merrill as he arrived for the two shows one day. He had appeared earlier in the week for the full concert and for the first of the second shows that day. But less so during the second show. After his banjo medley, Alan asked for the audience to show how much we loved him, he took his bow and the band started playing 'He aint heavy' as the dancers and family all filed onto the stage. A very moving, show stopping moment. I watched as Merrill wiped tears from his eyes and am sure that there were many other tears in the auditorium.

Love, love, love the Osmonds!! Sure, they had problems and trials. I've heard it said that the mark of a successful family isn't that they don't have problems. A successful family works through the problems and remain close. The Osmonds prove that to be true.

I know wayne suffered a stroke and alan has MS. I saw the real Alan on D/M show in 1998 recently on a clip show on youtube and it was amazing how down physically Alan seemed for as "young" as he seemed beforehand! It was sweet because it "showcased" (in honor of the brothers showcasing themselves) Donny and Jay being awesome younger brothers physically helping a much (lol) older brother with growing health issues. I see these guys butt heads so much that it is sweet to see them bond on camera

They stay anonymous. Along with Jimmy's wife as well. Pretty amazing though that all they got out of their "anonymity' was in Merrill's case 40 years I believe of marriage (wasn't he in 73?), Donny and Wayne 35 and 40 years respectively.

Never knew that about Merrell. Guess it was kept a secret when the Osmonds were outwardly a "no blemish" family. Only after their heyday was it slowly revealed in gossip articles or TV shows that the family had many problems even issues such as eating disorders and social anxiety. It is as if , since the "innocence" of the 1970s was over, minus well be on TV talking about the dysfunction behind the smiles.Lots of 70s child stars did the same. Telling-all was what aging celebs began to do.

I know Marie got divorced but she had the maturity and wherewithal to be back with her espoused of a former life. who also divorced besides? What have you seen about drugs/substance abuse? I think that most of their marriages have withstood the test of time because of the fact that they chose to be responsible and respectful. I have seen so many things about how honest/hardworking/wholesome they appear to fans and that is so rare.

I don't know about Merrill being hit by a truck. I don't think that happened. Jay and Kandilyn divorced in 2011 and this past May he married a beautiful woman named Karen. Yes, it's true. Jay did date Donny' s wife before she dated and married Donny.

JustaSojourner I don't know...but in some interviews they say he pushed them way to hard. Personally i'd never want a father like him. Im sure he a lot of wonderful things for his kids but all in all i think, with him, it was all about getting money.

I did love the real Osmonds appearing at the end, but I was disappointed at how poorly cast this movie was. Everyone looked the same age and the parents were the worst.

They have two divorces and 7 marriages that are rock solid. Along with a really high track record for their "kids" generation: Find me a majority of people their kids' generation (think of Alan's sons age for example) who are not living vicariously through their feelings.

i love the osmonds but i cant believe they would allow such poorly made up actors who dont even resemble any of them to portray them when there are so many actors out there who could have made this film more realistic what a poor imitation and shame on the osmonds for allowing this bad makeup and bad wigs to be on film.
