Abso-fucka-lutely. It just blows other wavetables synths like Serum out of the water in terms of sound quality and versatility. I guess the majority of producers overlook it because it's using a traditional mod matrix, rather than drag and drop.

Until i learned about Dune, i used Omnisphere as my main synth for almost everything as it's just so damned versatile, yet very cpu intensive.... BUT........... now I have discovered Dune, i'm blown away by its simplicity and intuitive UI, and at just how powerful it actually is (yes, i get how often Cameron uses the term 'POWERFUL' but it just is) My main sound design tools are now Dune and Serum. You CANNOT believe how much CPU power i've saved going from Omnisphere to these two, it's downright ridiculous 😆 Also, the stock sounds, especially the arps, are mindblowing and you can find any arp that sounds like it's a polished piece of art, turn off the arp function and play it single noted, which is, again...... really powerful when it comes to inspiring your own musical creativity!!!! Well done Synapse, you've done an absloutely STELLAR job with this one!!!

Damn! It seems like the only synth I needed was this one after all. So easy to fall into the "This new plugin with fancy presets will make me sound great!" trap and it was all here. Nearly all my sounds now come from this and I make them myself. I doubt il ever buy another.

Imagine this synth with a proper sample oscillator. With keygroups & groove slicer like the one in Orion + internal resampling & time & pitch 😍 Would kill every other synth out there.

The MIDI assignments are automatically saved when the plug-in is closed.

How do you save the progress you make in dune or whatever the plug-in is cos after I collect all and save I’ll open it back up and the midi track will be like I have had a plug-in on it? So frustrating

Can you load any wav tables on Dune 3? I copied some from HIVE 2 and when I click on the WT button it gives me the list and the initial folder appears but none of the actual wavetables pop up. Weird. Not a big deal but I was wondering why

You can import wavetables from other synths as WAV files. There is no standard for wavetable formats, i.e. Dune, Hive and other wavetable synths all have their own native format which are usually not compatible with each other.

The sample and glide polyphonic lfo thing is great, but am I missing some way of applying that to other things like the filter cutoff, rsonance, and filter/amp ADSR components? I'm trying to do the thing OBX- PRO II does where there's a subtle variation for each of those things per oscillator. It sounds to me like when I try to apply the poly lfo to things like the filter cutoff, it's not doing it separately per oscillator. Do I need to instead create separate voices per oscillator and dial in the variation manually, or is there a way to use the poly lfo for this?

Yes you can use the Poly LFO on anything, the filter cutoff, resonance or the ADSRs, and it can be used to create subtle variations per voice. Make sure you are using the latest version v3.4 though. Note when you say "oscillator" I assume you mean "voice". You can also modulate the oscillators 1-3 individually with the Poly LFOs, that is unrelated to the filter or ADSRs though.

Hi there, I recently bought this synth but I'm having trouble loading 3rd party soundbanks. iv'e put the bank in the soundbank destination like the manual says to do but when I click the bank in dune nothing happens, it's quite irritating.

You have probably purchased Dune v1 soundsets which are not compatible with Dune 2 + Dune 3.

Yo! This is just a cheap little mic that was sent to me (Tonor BM700) which I showed on my channel. Other than that, I normally use a Sterling Audio SP50 or an AKG C214. Post processing isn't really anything crazy. Just some EQ and compression, a limiter for safety, and a little bit of a gate and that's really all there is to it.

i could have sworn the last time i checked the effects were global, isn't that why there is two effects engines? id like to know of the FX are per layer/voice or if they are global. dune 3 is such a powerhouse, one of my favorites :)

Yes the two effect chains are global, however you can enable/disable them per layer.
