Re-watching this series as i’m spending lots of time using DUNE 3 at the moment. Such a good synth. Currently using it a lot for atmospheres, pads, drones. Bliss

I have a question about something which isn’t stated in the manual of Dune 3. And that wasn’t touched upon in your video. Which of the tuning modes available in the oscillator tuning section, most closely behaves like the JP-80x0 Supersaw and the Virus Hypersaw?

I could be wrong, but, Nonlinear seems to be pretty similar to the detuning in the JP-8K. Not sure if it is exactly the same though, the detuning in the JP-8K's supersaw is pretty unique. And, the Virus' hypersaw is actually based on the Supersaw, but, there are differences obviously as well, like the amount of oscillators, and, also, the detuning. Also, I think the JP-8K has truely free running oscillators, while the Virus "only" has random phase oscillators.

Check out vps Avenger. It sounds even better. More in the Rapid category. So clear in the mix. Dune3 sometimes needs a lot of eq ing cause of this warm sound.
