I was about 14-15 years old when I got acquainted with electronic music and despite the poverty and mess in Russia in the 90s of the last century, it was techno, eurodance, rave and especially happy hardcore that became the ray of light that illuminated life and gave hope for a bright future )))) The collapse of the Soviet Union was behind us, the threat of global war between East and West was gone. The whole world breathed a sigh of peace and this cheerful reckless music was what united and brought us all together - no matter where we were from ! Now I am 42 and I remember with sadness about that, perhaps, the happiest period in my life and I sincerely do not understand how we for the last 10-15 years could lose all that brought us together and again stand on the threshold of a new global war? Friends, let's live in friendship and peace and let's make this wonderful music unite us again! __________________________________________________________________________________________ Мне было около 14-15 лет, когда я познакомился с электронной музыкой и несмотря на нищету и бардак в России в 90е годы прошлого века, именно techno, eurodance, rave и особенно happy hardcore стали тем самым лучиком света, которые озаряли жизнь и давали надежду на светлое будущее ))) Позади был развал Советского Союза, ушла в прошлое угроза глобальной войны между Западом и Востоком. Весь мир вздохнул спокойно и эта веселая бесшабашная музыка стала тем, что объединяло и сближало всех нас - вне зависимости откуда мы ! Сейчас мне 42 и я с грустью вспоминаю о том, пожалуй, самом счастливом периоде в жизни и я искренне не понимаю, как мы за последние 10-15 лет смогли потерять все то, что сближало нас и вновь встать на пороге новой глобальной войны? Друзья, давайте жить в дружбе и мире и давайте сделаем так, чтобы эта замечательная музыка вновь объединяла бы нас !

Ich bin jetzt 43. Das war definitiv eine geile Sorgenfreie Zeit. Mich erinnert dieses Lied einfach daran mit den Jungs unterwegs zu sein und die Zeit zu genießen. Ohne Insta und Co. Auch damals durfte schon jeder so sein wie er/sie mochte,nur wurde da nicht so ein Theater draus gemacht und für alles eine "Bewegung " gegründet. Einfach Spaß zu haben ohne drauf zu achten was die anderen denken. Schöne Zeit!

Ich bin jetzt 47 und hab diese Zeit so genossen. Jedes WE danach abgedanct...kein Handy...was haben wir das gefeiert..Und genau..es wurde nicht so ein Trallala um alles gemacht...Vermisse es!

If the first thing you relate this stuff to in your life is drugs, I'm really sorry tbh. So many old sensations comes before me. How the spring sun felt on my skin as I rode my bike around the block with my Walkman, what it smelled like outside, what I was looking forward to at that moment, and the countless trips filled with anticipation to the record stores, looking for any new releases.. or even better, finding the rare, old ones. Such a rush at the time. Listening to this stuff is like revisiting the past.

Es war schon stark. Gleichzeitig gab es geile Techno, House, Drum n bass tracks aber auch legendären Hip Hop und sau starken Grunge & Brit Pop... und echt entspanntere Leute... Hoffe man kann echt bald mal wieder feiern!

Ich glaube am nächsten kommt es dem Lebensgefühl von damals heutzutage, wenn man in Berlin nach Corona feiern geht! Außerdem habe ich angefangen zu Rollerskaten und dabei eurotrash zu hören, das fühlt sich dann immer ein bisschen nach 90s an :D

47 years old. When I look back at the 80s and 90s I can with total confidence say that the world was a happier place back then. On a Saturday night we all sat at one of our friend’s house (when parents were out for the weekend ofcourae 😂) watching MTV Europe all night, talking about cool shit and drinking beers.

In my opinion there is no other Songs Melody that represents the 90s more than this one. The Womans Voice in the Refrain and everything .., it was like a Dream World. The Colors were stronger and it was much more Love in the Air .., i don´t know i can´t explain it. Also i can´t describe the Pain when i think about this Time and that only Memories left ... :`/ i would give anything !

Это не техно, а хеппи хардкор. Dune изначально хеппи хардкоровый проект. Техно появилось много раньше хардкора.

I like how it is. 80' and 90' will always be remembered. But todays music like, its total trash in most cases, nobody will remember them in a year or 2. But 90', forever giving us vibes and good mood!

Ihr könnt euch glücklich schätzen ich bin 16 und werde in der heutigen Jugend groß, die Musik ist Grütze alle sind schlecht drauf. Ich habe keine Freunde, weil ich mich mit niemanden verstehe. And even if it were possible to be 17 again, one could never again experience the spirit of the 90s. The 90s were filled with energy and hope like no other era before.

R bofkont Tina Lagao (=Tina Lacebal) sang "Are you ready 2 fly" and "can't stop raving". The second one with additional spoken parts by the niece of Oliver Froning. Verena started singing at "Rainbow to the stars" (one single release later). You can hear the difference AND it's written in the single CD inlay AND Froning told that many times in interviews over and over again man ;-)

Ich beneide euch! Ich bin 16 und habe das Gefühl, das ich zur falschen Zeit geboren wurde. Im meiner Genration groß zu werden ist der größte Albtraum und die Musik ist auch schmutz + covid 19, dass auch noch alles zerstört. Wenn ich 18 werde, werde ich mir ein Auto aus den 90s kaufen und dann erst mal abraven. Schätzt es wert in den 90s großgeworden zu sein… in der heutigen Jugend hättet ihr garantiert keinen Spaß mehr.

@Jack Butler This used to get played in the happy hardcore sets at the raves a lot back when I was about 16/17, which is around 96/97. I've got it on white label vinyl from back then. Still give it a spin now and then. I got buying more HipHop when I was about 20 because it was more fun to mix. I was always a scratch DJ from when I started when I was 16, so as I got better it made sense to move to HipHop and turntablism. I listened to HipHop from being about 7, or 8 anyway cos my older cousin was a HipHop DJ. Still never parted with my old Hardcore though.

@Jack Butler Yeah, I play it most days. Yesterday I had Adam F, Goldie, LTJ Bukem, Alex Reece, Dilinja and Lemon D on. Sometimes I'll play more jump up like DJ Zinc, Pendulum, Andy C etc. My favourite genre is UK Hardcore, like before the split when it was all just referred to as hardcore. I was born about 8 years late. I only left school in 96 and started going to raves straight away. Shit job at McD's paid for the weekend partying, finance for my decks and records. We occasionally got an old school room at the raves if we were lucky but I was too young through the golden years. Stu Allen on the radio was my only rave access back in the early 90's, which I was introduced to through another cousin. DJ Hype and DJ Brisk were both huge at the time I started going out.
