I hope they don't decide to continue the story in series format. The longer something extends in time, the more likely it is that it will deviate from the original idea and style. In that sense, I think that movies are better at concentrating a vision, a style, a specific way of telling the story en two hours. Nowadays series are mostly a commercial necessity.

Definitely. The movies are great but they don't capture the charm of the books due to the omissions and changes they had to make owing to the time constraints. The 3-4 hour extended cuts of both films which includes all the important deleted scenes is probably the closest we'll get to a Dune tv series.

Now, Brian Herbert's books are mostly criticized, but I think they can take the best ideas and improve them in the tv format (take The Boys for example, the tv serie is vastly superior to the comics)

I think it would be cool if the entire table was filled with planets popping up all around and by the end, the final shot showing Arrakis surrounded by other planets/factions, even if they arent brought up in the movies-and arent all zoomed in on during the intro cinematic- it would show just how important Arrakis is as the CENTER of this empire, its spece being highly coveted by all.
