I just got my copy too! :-) Can't wait to play with the new bits. I bought in when they were selling the remaining stock they had in their warehouse, so the promo card wasn't included with my copy, unfortunately.

Thanks for the comment and the view!! It’s actually a custom built table constructed by my wife and our friend as a 50th birthday gift for me! It is amazing and I think you have given me the subject of my next video; all about that table!! Stay tuned!

Deluxe uprade that now you need to upgrade again if you want to add the new expansion... It's a bit lame they did that before putting out the expansion, basically now you need to create new dividers to add the new stuff and you will not have the minis for the two new factions... :(

Funny you should mention that! I just posted my unboxing video of Rise of Ix. It fits PERFECTLY in the Deluxe set. The plastic section that holds the board was designed to specifically hold the new board pieces and the cards and everything fit like butter. You are right that the new dreadnought meeple pieces don’t jive with the nice plastic minis from Deluxe set, but it’s not terrible. I may upgrade those myself anyway. The game is still 4 players with the expansion. It does not add extra players, just new leaders, so the 4 colors of pieces still apply for a full game. Well... when you see that even in the expansion you need to add a bit of playfield over the core box playfield in a way that looks sooo ugly and unprofessional... quite lame from them ie core box board with the new expansion on it and glue to the back of the core board to have the two versions. :)

Well now there is Dune: Imperium - Immortality announced July 21, 2022 The day after I ordered the Deluxe Upgrade , which will now not hold both expansions....

@@Mark-we6xq it depends. The Deluxe set certainly doesn’t appear to be designed to hold the second expansion, but, there is plenty of room for the cards. The only question is the new board and how much it may or may not sit above the rim of the open box. Time will tell. I do have plenty of games that the lid sits a bit high on due to an expansion board or two, so I remain optimistic that it won’t have a major impact.

Do the soldiers minis fit nicely in barracks or battle area?Because the cubes are much smaller?nice video man

They do fit. They are smaller than the Agent and Influence minis, but bigger than the cubes. If you get ALL of the minis in your barracks, they kind of have to squeeze in for space with no wiggle room and very slight overlap of the barracks circle, but they do stay and that is only if every one of your troops is in barracks. They all sit nicely in the battlefield and there are no problems with multiple players’ troops are sharing the zone.
