I know these are beginner strategy videos and I find them very enjoyable! I do have a question on how to approach Ilban when blocked on Wealth, or when your opening hand does not have a Dagger. Also, do you trash Daggers or Experimentation with Selective Breeding eventually?

Hey Peter! Love that you are asking questions. I think for ilban if wealth is blocked of you don't have daggers. You can always play the round naturally. Say if you are 4th, and wealth is blocked. You should still have good options of either stillsuits foldspace or smuggling. All are good options. I have a tournament game on this channel where that happens. You just react accordingly. For trashing at selective breeding. It depends on what stage of the game you are doing it. If you are late in the game. Most definitely as you are fishing for persuassion. If it is early. You generally want to keep the deck access relatively stable to the start. So green access in, dagger out. For ilban, you can drop priority of trashing daggers slightly

Hi Cheesable, I hope its okay to ask some more insights on Ilban; -While playing Ilban in second position, would you opt for goint Wealth into Mentat rounds one and two? if its possible? -Any thoughts on the other green spaces that cost solari? Playing into dreadnoughts perhaps? -What do you think are the best imperium cards to aquire with Ilban? Of course Lay Jessica and Piter are great. But I also like Test of Humanity, Shifting Allegiances, Guild Bankers.

2nd position. You can smuggle 2x to go swordmaster. Or get foldspace. Both are still good options. Dreadnought space is okay. I think mentat is alot better. You kinda need spice midgame for dreads to be good. And ilban doesn't have much. Imperium Cards are good on play greens. I listed a few. But should be easy to identify

@@cheesable i assume you are saying you need spice midgame for dreads to be good so you can buy a tech when you go to the space?

@andruwjonez Yes. You want to maximize your trip to dreads w spice. You can still do it. It might be good. But I think if you don't have swordmaster. Spending your Action to go just for dreads without tech is inefficient
